Views of some Grand Cayman beaches
In response to numerous requests, we've compiled a few digital photos taken randomly of the best known Grand Cayman beaches, and of the beach at Turtle Nest Inn, in Bodden Town. Because of the extensive memory involved, opening a page of several photo files may be slow. So, to avoid undue delay, we've divided the pictures and posted them to either the high season page or low season page, according to the date on which they were taken (high season: December 16th to April 15th; low season: April 16th to December 15th).
Of course, Seven Mile Beach, the most famous one on the island (and actually five miles long), is not dotted with large hotels from one end to the other. Those staying at condominiums at the quieter, northern end of SMB, will discover less crowded stretches of beach than those shown.
In no way is this an attempt to portray one island beach as being better or worse than another, but rather to illustrate the diversity available to visitors. Some will prefer beaches that attract the tourist crowds, while others will opt for more secluded spots away from the large hotels. But, one of the beauties of the Cayman Islands, is that they are all accessible, no matter where you decide to stay, and should be included in your itinerary when exploring the island.
We'll be adding more photos of other beaches (e.g., the one at Morritt's Tortuga Club & Resort, etc.), and we welcome your suggestions of those we've missed that may be of interest to people considering Grand Cayman as a travel destination.
