Farewell notes from our Guest Register (March/2000)
"We have enjoyed our visit to Turtle Nest Inn tremendously. The accommodations were perfect, the location ideally situated for visiting the entire island, and serenity unmatched. We will always remember our first visit, and we look forward to returning very soon." P.J.,P.J.,G.J.&D.J., Traverse City, Michigan, USA (March 31, 2000)
"Our stay was altogether too short, but we found the location perfect for accessing both ends of the island. The accommodation far surpasses previous experiences, with the colourful furnishings. It is truly Mediterranean - we know - if ever you want to do a swap, contact us on our website. Hope to see you again." S.F.&P.F., Oxford, England, UK (March 30, 2000)
"Turtle Nest Inn was one of the friendliest, nicest establishments we've ever come across. It was like staying in someone's private home! We loved everything about it! The Best!" P.V.&B.V., Great Neck, New York, USA (March 29, 2000)
"Catherine & I are leaving now after a fantastic 11-day vacation. The Inn has treated us very well and we are sad to go. I will long remember the swimming, delicious meals prepared by Marleine, the anniversary (1 year) of the Inn with a campfire on the beach, the rum cake (mmm-good) and friendly dogs. I saw the southern cross last night on the horizon around 10:00pm pointing the way towards the south celestial pole. How I love spending time at the beach. Duty calls and time goes by. Life has a funny way of bringing us to and from paradise. Word has it rain awaits us in NY and I must work tomorrow. Bye-bye Turtle Nest Inn until we come again. We will miss you." J.F., Rochester, New York, USA (March 27, 2000)
"Thank you for the beautiful views and the solitude. The rooms were decorated with marvelous taste. Thank you. We were so happy to join you on the 1st Anniversary of this special place." C.F., Rochester, New York, USA (March 27, 2000)
"It's almost time for us to go - and I find I'm not really ready yet. I must say - we are sure we will be back to Cayman and certainly here at Turtle Nest. We especially enjoyed being part of your first anniversary celebration, and the Italian supper was an unexpected treat. We loved our accommodations in #7, and thought that the daily newspaper every morning was a thoughtful, special touch. We like a nice, clean, comfortable apartment with all the 'finer' comforts of a hotel and we think we've found that here. I'll stay away from 7 mile beach or Rum Point and relax at your pool. Late afternoon cocktails at 'The Edge' were fun too. All in all, this was a good choice for us. Thanks to Marleine & Alain for your hospitality & low key presence." C.B.&J.B., Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA (March 25, 2000)
"Marleine & Alain: Turtle Nest was even better than we expected; it made our first visit to Grand Cayman very memorable. The delicious meal you prepared was just like home (we're Italian!) and thank you so much for including us in your 1st Anniversary celebration - it was so nice to be treated to a barbecue the first night we arrived. You're both so gracious and generous - we'll certainly be back!" R.M.&R.M., Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA (March 25, 2000)
"Marleine & Alain: We have had a very relaxing & wonderful 9 nights at Turtle Nest Inn. The location was central to everything we wanted to see, an ideal spot for us! The accommodations were everything we heard, fairly new (1 yr.), very clean (the whole Inn), & you were both the friendliest & warmest hosts we've had. Your recommendations were not only great (you know all these people!), many times we were given a discount because we mentioned 'Turtle Nest Inn'. We are sorry to leave, but know that one day we will be back to enjoy Turtle Nest Inn again. Thanks for letting us be a part of your 1 year anniversary party! Best Wishes!" J.M.&B.M., San Francisco, California, USA (March 25, 2000)

"Marleine & Alain: Congratulations on your first year. You should be proud of your creative achievement. This was a wonderful place to heal, relax & enjoy. You have created a warm, friendly place that feels instantly like home. Italian Night dinner was special, especially for my 50th birthday. The sun was bright, the full moon was spectacular & you both were gracious & kind. Thank you." J.D.&J.C., Silver Springs, Maryland, USA (March 24, 2000)
Marleine & Alain: Not only is Turtle Nest a perfect alternative to 7M Beach, you are the Fodor & Frommer of Grand Cayman - every recommendation, from restaurant to dive shop to gallery, was spot on. We had a wonderful time. You are most gracious hosts." A.M.&D.M., Washinton, DC, USA (March 24, 2000)
"Marleine & Alain: You are superb hosts & have built a wonderful inn. Your blend of attentiveness & solitude is superb. You inn design & attention to the smallest details provide total enjoyment of the sun & moon rising, ease of access to the total island & a wonderful reef to snorkel. Capt. Dexter's trip to swim with the rays was a perfect recommendation & a wonderful morning. We compliment you on a job well done. Congratulations to your first year." S.G.&C.G., Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA (March 22, 2000)
"Great to be here for your 1st Anniversary. May you have many more." R.K., Naples, Florida, USA (March 20, 2000)

"Marleine & Alain: Thanks so much for making our stay such an enjoyable experience. You two do an excellent job making guests feel comfortable. This is what you are meant to do. The Inn is beautiful. When we first arrived it was all that we had hoped for, and after exploring the whole island & seeing all the other places we know that we chose the most excellent place to stay!" T.M.,L.M.&D.M., Shawnee, Kansas, USA (March 16, 2000)
"Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation, Marleine & Alain. Your hospitality makes one feel that we were personal friends coming for a visit. Your place is wonderful & we do hope to return someday." E.B.&P.B., Chesapeake, Virginia, USA (March 15, 2000)
"Thanks so much Marleine & Alain - your attention to detail really made our stay perfect (how did you know that we would need a nightlight!). The best maid service & more towels than anyone could ever need! All this & yet there were times when we felt like we were the only ones at the Inn. I don't think we shared the pool once. You have that perfect blend of privacy and attentiveness. Also, thank you for recommending Captain Dexter for Stingray City - his trip was amazing! Thanks again." J.M.,R.M.,T.M.&A.M., Markham, Ontario, Canada (March 15, 2000)

"Nick and I thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon on Grand Cayman. Little did we know the hosts would be so charming and accommodating. They even stayed up past midnight to let us in on our first day after a 14-hour trip to the island. And, the Indian dinner was superb - kudos to the chef. If our time in Bodden Town is any indication of the health of our marriage, Nick and I will have many happy years together. Hope to be back someday. God bless you both." N.C.&H.C., Arlington, Virginia, USA (March 13, 2000)
"Marleine & Alain: Thank you so much for your hospitality & generosity while we stayed at your Inn. We loved the setting & appreciated all of your help while in the Caymans. Hopefully, we'll see you again soon." A.W., L.W.&K.W., Burbank, California, USA (March 8, 2000)
"Marleine & Alain: We envy you your beautiful spot. Our accommodations were great & we appreciated your help in selecting places to go & to eat. You never misdirected us! Grand Cayman is so gorgeous & its people the friendliest of any we've ever met in our journeys. Thanks again for everything, and we're looking forward to staying with you on our next visit to Grand Cayman. P.S. The underwater views out in front were as good as any we saw!" K.S.&M.L.S, Carefree, Arizona, USA (March 8, 2000)

"Our first visit to Grand Cayman - what a fantastic place! And we could not have asked for more perfect accommodations - waking up to a wonderful beach view and our own private beach. We were very fortunate to be able to enjoy the fabulous 'Indian dinner'. The diving here is great - Stingray City was really something to see. We thank you, Alain and Marleine, for your hospitality and we will definitely make the Inn 'our home away from home' next time." D.G.&G.G., Calgary, Alberta, Canada (March 7, 2000)
"Thank you both for sharing your home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this end of Grand Cayman. As you well know it is a pleasant change of pace from the west end. Your dinner recommendations, The Brasserie & The Lighthouse, both surpassed our expectations and your Indian dinner was terrific. Good luck with your Inn in the future, we know you will be successful." R.A.&A.A., Victoria, Texas, USA (March 4, 2000)
