“Dear Marleine & Alain: We have determined this was the best vacation we have ever taken. Never have we been more relaxed. Turtle Nest Inn was such an enjoyable place to stay with the personal, friendly touch that wasn’t intrusive. We loved the great snorkeling, the wonderful food, the pool, the cleanliness of our apartment, the daily newspaper — I could go on and on. Thank you for such a wonderful escape from ‘the real world’. We’ll be back! P.S. It was greater than great, especially meeting new friends like you. Good luck in all you do & tell Frank & Linda we said goodbye.” K.R.&S.R., Friendsville, Tennessee, USA (December 29, 2000)

The small touches…daily newspaper, freshly ground coffee, colorful sheets, baguettes, movies, beach towels, and lovely apartment add to the memories of the ‘big’ touches…very tasty Indian & tapas dinners, friendly owners, pool, reef and the sound of the ocean surf! Thank you and have a very happy new year!” L.M.,C.M.&J.M., Greensboro, North Carolina, USA (December 28, 2000)

Your inn and the way you manage it, take care of details and treat your guests is something we have not experienced in all of our travels. Your Indian and Caribbean Night dinners were excellent. We also enjoyed your company and conversations and Alain’s ‘true stories’. Snorkeling off your beach has to be the best on the island. Also loved night snorkeling. It was also a pleasure meeting Frank and Linda and our conversations with them. We will definitely return. We will never forget you and the Turtle Nest Inn. “Marleine & Alain: Elizabeth & I want to thank you both for a superb week. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. Your accommodations are both comfortable and well planned, making our week a most enjoyable experience. Whether you are a family looking for fun in the sun, a romantic-minded couple looking for a getaway or fall anywhere in between, the accommodations & hospitality are impeccable. My younger brother & I had a wonderful time in your inn, at your delicious terrace dinner & snokeling in your sea. “Thank you Alain & Marleine for your wonderful hospitality & kindness. You have created the perfect oasis here with not a single detail overlooked. Your personal touches and impeccable tastes have made TNI a destination of unsurpassed beauty and elegance. The Indian and Caribbean dinners were the best meals we had on the island with the Caribbean perhaps the best meal we have enjoyed anywhere. The snorkelling is incredible with more species of fish than you can count. We saw something new every day. Captain Dexter and Stingray City were a real highlight. Ask for Hal at the Botanic Park where he looks after the medicine garden, an excellent tour is guaranteed. We can’t say enough about TNI, it is everything the website shows and more. No crowds, warm & gracious hosts, a beautiful pool & grounds and immaculate well appointed, spacious apartments, make this Inn the ultimate. What we have said to each other is that this has got to be the best honeymoon anyone has had ever. Thank you again Alain & Marleine, we can’t rave enough about your place, We will be back.” D.O.&D.O., Rocky Lake, Manitoba, Canada (November 3, 2000)

The ‘Inn’ is every bit as beautiful as we expected and the both of you made our stay here an exceptional one. We were able to see and do most of the things you recommended and enjoyed all of them, especially Capt. Dexter and Stingray City. We had many wonderful meals while we were here, but the dinners that you hosted at the ‘Inn’ were by far the finest. Marleine, your talent in the kitchen has to rank up there with the finest chefs on the island. We are already planning a return trip next year.” C.V.&D.V., Bernardston, Massachusetts, USA (November 3, 2000)
“Alain and Marleine: Thank you for letting us stay here. Thank you for the candy. And the pool is awesome. I love the sand we played in. P.S: Thank you for the Indian dinner. I loved the food. The bread was good. And I like your dog.” Z.V., Bernardston, Massachusetts, USA (November 3, 2000)

“Things we expected on our first trip to the Cayman Islands: warm weather, exotic island food, pictures of sunsets and many snorkeling adventures. What we didn’t expect: such an intimate hotel with wonderful hosts, a private reef to snorkel around, multiple dog escorts to The Edge (Buster, Philly, Max), beautiful botanical gardens, a great Indian meal by the sea, new friends (Dan & Dana) as well as new stingray friends! Thanks for the memories, Alain & Marleine – we look forward to making more next year!” E.K.&S.K., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (October 29, 2000)

“We followed our intuition to this lovely Inn which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. Right on the most beautiful beach, with a large suite for 2, and all the amenities we needed. This was too perfect to experience only once.” H.G.&R.A., Kensington, Maryland, USA (October 26, 2000)

“Alain & Marleine (and Linda & Frank): A million thank-you’s for a week of tranquility, sunsets, stingrays, diving at 120 feet, excitement, parrotfish, conch fritters, seagulls, the scent of the sea in the morning, friendly dogs and hundreds of other unforgettable moments. As soon as we arrived at your glorious inn, we knew we made the right decision. The non-commercial, ‘touch of home’ ambiance was delightful and very much appreciated. And it was no more apparent than the night we ventured into George Town and saw (with dismay) the Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other abominations — we ran screaming back to the Turtle Nest! With warm regards…” K.L.&M.L., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA (October 24, 2000)
“Best vacation ever! I will never forget the sunrises & sunsets, the beaches, the Botanic Park, and the surreal trip to the sandbar with Dexter to see the stingrays. Thank You! P.S: Special thanks to Linda for her excellent suggestions, and to Tramp for making me feel at home.” A.S., Chicago, Illinois, USA (October 23, 2000)
“I found the Turtle Nest Inn on the Internet and had high hopes for it for our honeymoon. My husband and I loved it! We knew we wanted to be a little away from 7 Mile Beach & the Inn provided a different view of the island. There is so much to do all over the island & this was a great middle point. We loved Bob Soto’s tour of Stingray City & Ocean Frontiers did a wonderful job showing us our first scuba diving experience. Go see the blowholes – they were amazing at sunset! Thanks to Frank & Linda for getting us settled in. We had a wonderful honeymoon! Thank you.” R.G.&C.G., Rochester, New York, USA (October 21, 2000)
“My 1st trip to Grand Cayman & I was lucky enough to find the Turtle Nest Inn first thing when I looked on the Internet. Once I read the previous comments I knew it was the place for me – small, simple & run with a personal touch. Your ‘backyard’ is awesome – sunrise view is stunning. Thanks Frank & Linda for being so sweet. Glad to meet Marleine & Alain on my last day but sorry I missed your dinners! “Thank you for a great week on Grand Cayman. The Turtle Nest Inn proved to be everything we had hoped from the extensive accolades we had read on the web! We’re sorry we missed Alain and Marleine. However I suspect island life is addictive…especially during a rainy Vancouver winter!” A.C.&K.C., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (October 15, 2000)
“Our 1st trip to the Caymans couldn’t have been more wonderful! We loved the Turtle Nest – enjoyed our chats with Linda & Frank – they were great ‘Substitute Hosts’! We’re disappointed we didn’t get to meet Marleine & Alain. It seems everyone on the island knows them. We plan to be back soon! This was a celebration of our 20th Anniversary, hopefully it won’t take another 20 years to get away alone. Thanks for a lovely home away from home! We will highly recommend the Turtle Nest!” C.C.&P.C., Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, USA (October 15, 2000)
“This was our 2nd trip to Cayman but the 1st to TNI – and it was wonderful, quiet & cozy – you have thought of everything. Linda & Frank are most helpful. So sorry we did not get to meet Marleine & Alain – good excuse to return! But then who needs a reason to come back to Cayman. The swimming & snorkeling at Governor’s Beach were fantastic! The “condo” life here sure beats overcrowded hotels. Hope you enjoyed your time away from paradise. Keep up the good work & we will see you again.” H.M.&M.C., Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA (October 13, 2000)
“What a beautiful island. The Inn is a wonderful retreat from all the business of 7 mile beach. We love it here. So sorry we couldn’t meet you both! Can’t wait to come back soon! Thanks Linda & Frank- especially wake up call at 5:30am! Much appreciated!” B.S.&A.S., Saratoga, California, USA (October 7, 2000)
“Our stay at Turtle Nest Inn has been delightful! It is certainly our kind of place – secluded and away from the ‘maddening crowds’, yet convenient via auto to any part of the island. We enjoyed exploring the countryside, then ‘coming home’ to our little inn by the sea. Thank you, Linda and Frank, for taking such good care of us. If and when we return to Grand Cayman, we will certainly stay here – and meet Marleine and Alain.” C.W.&P.W., Kirbyville, Missouri, USA (October 6, 2000)
“Our week at Turtle Nest was great. We were here in CI in 1992 staying on the congested 7 mile beach. Scuba and snorkelling were fun. It is the clearest water in the Caribbean. Our apartment was very comfortable. Linda and Frank were friendly & helpful.” G.M.&H.M., Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA (October 4, 2000)
“Thank you both for making our stay at Turtle Nest Inn wonderful! It was a great place to be on our honeymoon – quiet, secluded, & romantic. Our apartment (No. 8) was great with a beautiful view of the ocean. We plan to return on one of our many anniversaries to come. We only hope next time there is a little less rain! Thank again for everything.” T.C.&M.C., Prior Lake, Minnesota, USA (October 4, 2000)
“Thank you Linda and Frank, for taking such good care of us on our honeymoon. Everything was perfect! We are really glad we decided to stay at Turtle Nest Inn, instead of 7 mile beach. Tourists go to 7 mile, travelers come to Bodden Town. Our only regret is we didn’t get to meet Alain and Marleine. Next time! Warm regards…P.S: We really enjoyed Tramp, he and his buddies are a real hoot!” L.R.&M.R., Mansfield, Ohio, USA (October 1, 2000)
“Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable. We loved the tranquility and privacy of our apartment and of the hotel. Many blessings upon you in the future.” F.D.&A.D., Detroit, Michigan, USA (October 1, 2000)

“Frank, Linda, Alain, Marleine, Tramp & Blackie, and that fat lizard with no tail outside of Apt. 4. We had a great time and the TNI was a significant part. Best wishes for the future. Many many thanks for all! À bientôt!`” B.B.&J.B., Goffstown, New Hampshire, USA (September 24, 2000)
“Thank you very much for making our vacation wonderful. The Turtle Nest Inn is beautiful and comfortable. You’ve made us feel ‘at home’ in a tropical paradise. We hope to visit again some day. P.S: We’ll definitely recommend the Turtle Nest Inn to our friends & family!!” P.N.&H.S., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (September 23, 2000)
“Thank you for an unforgettable experience. We really enjoyed the Inn and the reef was incredible, let’s keep it secret – shhh…Frank & Linda are such warm, friendly people, you are very fortunate to have them. Wish we could have spent more time with you both, but, I guess you are entitled to your vacation also! Good Luck & God Bless.” J.L.&V.L., Lake Norman, North Carolina, USA (September 22, 2000)

“Dear Alain and Marleine: Thank you so much for our wonderful stay, here at your Turtle Nest. You two are very special people, attending to every need of your guests. From the moment we made our reservations, everything has gone flawlessly. Marleine, your Indian dinner was fabulous and thank you for the birthday cake! What a lovely surprise!! We love being out here, away from the ‘hustle & bustle’ of Geogre Town. Thank you for having us in your home. The pool is terrific and the view SENSATIONAL!! Rich and I are both relaxed and wish that we could stay longer!! We will be back!” E.R., Greensboro, North Carolina, USA & R.W., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA (September 16, 2000)
“Thank you for a very restful home away from home. We appreciate the hassle-free reservation system, well thought out accommodations and your attention to detail. You certainly made our visit a pleasure.” U.S.&S.S., Mobile, Alabama, USA (September 16, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: We’ve enjoyed every moment of our memorable stay at the Turtle Nest Inn. Your wonderful hospitality will always remain with us and we look forward to future visits (the sooner the better!). Best wishes going forward. Warmest regards…” D.W.&V.P., Noblesville, Indiana, USA (September 15, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Your ‘turtle nest’ is fantastic and it was our pleasure to spend our 25th wedding anniversary here. We learned to snorkel in your part of the sea and snorkeling became one of the best parts of our vacation in Grand Cayman. After long days it was so comfortable and relaxing to come back to our ‘love nest’ with all the comforts of home. Thank you for your hospitality. You’ve thought of everything and you both are part of the wonderful memories we will take home with us. Love…” B.S.&B.S., Gainesville, Florida, USA (September 15, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: We cannot tell you what a wonderful time we had here on the island. When we left home to travel here, we had only dreamed of how beautiful the sunsets would be, how warm the ocean would be, and how friendly the people would be. Grand Cayman has completely surpassed our expectations, as well as the Turtle Nest Inn. This place is incredible! You and your staff have been more than generous to us. Your smiling and friendly faces, as well as knowledgeable advice add to the relaxing, clean, fresh, and calmness of this place. During our stay we were able to do many of the touristy-type things like scuba dive off the North & East Ends. It is a whole different world underwater! We saw some stingrays, spotted eaglerays, turtles and even a reef shark! We even snorkled right off the beach here outside the Inn! We did our share of spending money on souvenirs & gifts in George Town and also visited Cathy Church’s place (great underwater photos!), and a place called Pure Art. Both were refreshingly different than George Town. But amidst all of the more common things to see and places to go, I think the one thing we really enjoyed about the Inn was its location. We loved being among all the people of Bodden Town! The jerk chicken stand up the street is great! Altogether, we had a completely memorable experience. We will definitely be back – with our family and friends! Thank you again!!! Have a great time in Europe! Love…” J.S.&E.Z., Los Angeles, California, USA (September 14, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Julie and I had an incredibly wonderful time at the TNI. You are consummate hosts, incredible chefs, and very generous and wonderful people. The TNI is definitely the only way to stay in the Caymans! Best wishes for your continued incredible success! We’ll be back!” D.L.&J.L., Lexington, Massachusetts, USA (September 10, 2000)
“We’ve enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful time sightseeing. The people are so nice. This is my first time out of Texas and it was definitely worth it. I’m glad this was my first real trip – Grand Cayman. This place (Turtle Nest Inn) is really nice – it’s out of the way but that is what makes it so nice. Maybe next time we’ll get a room upstairs. The both of you are such kind people. Good luck. We wish you well.” H.P.&B.R, Cedar Park, Texas, USA (September 10, 2000)
“This place has been wonderful and we’ve really enjoyed spending time here. Grand Cayman’s water is so clear and warm. The snorkeling was great and Clay loved diving again. Cementary Reef & Eden Rock – especially Eden Rock – are both places you should not miss if you’re a snorkeling fan. Stingray snorkeling at the reef with Captain Dexter was excellent. After seeing the rays he takes you to a coral reef where his buddy – an eel (!) – is and he feeds him. The palm by the ocean (in the late afternoon) is the most relaxing spot on your property! Your apartments are very well equipped and the Caribbean dinner was excellent and a great way to meet new friends. Thank you again for everything and I hope to be back soon! P.S. We loved Tramp & Blackie.” C.C.&S.C., Jersey City, New Jersey, USA (September 9, 2000)
“We’ve had so much fun! The dives, snorkeling, Stingray City, Captain Dexter, and on and on. The company of the guests at the Turtle Nest Inn, including you both, has been a lot of fun. I have to say it’s worth coming back just for your cooking and maybe we’ll even bring the children – maybe. Thanks and have a great trip to Paris. Love…” C.F.&A.F., Atlanta, Georgia, USA (September 9, 2000)
“First time in Cayman & it’s by far the best island we’ve been to. This apartment is gorgeous! Loved the dogs – we didn’t miss ours as much. Diving was perfect! All the friends we met here made it even better – especially partying around the pool at night. Plan to come back same time next year! Best Inn in the Caribbean!! Bye to Frank & Linda – we’ll send you the videos we promised. Hope we will be back before you go home to England. Thanks Alain & Marleine for a really terrific vacation!” A.R.&L.R., Charlotte, North Carolina, USA (September 8, 2000)
“The best week ever! The Turtle Nest Inn rocks! All the comforts of home on a Caribbean island & then some! However, the people we met completely made our vacation. From the helpful & hospitable proprietors (Alain & Marleine) to our ‘Inn-mates’ (Frank & Linda – Britain; Paul & Wendy – Connecticut, USA; Andrew & Carol – Georgia, USA; Alan & Linda – North Carolina, USA). It is nice to be reminded that people from different walks of life can come together and have a blast!! You must see Rum Point sunset and feed the stingrays with Capt. Dexter. Relaxing here is a way of life…enjoy it! We’ll be back! Your friends…” P.W.&W.H., Indianapolis, Indiana, USA (September 8, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: As always I have very much enjoyed my stay with you both at your Inn. I am feeling like extended family with your gracious hospitality. This is my third stay and I will definitely be back…soon! I wish you continued success and much happiness. Until next time…” D.P., Richmond, Virginia, USA (September 7, 2000)
“Thank you for an absolutely wonderful time at the Turtle Nest Inn. We have fallen in love with the inn and we will be back again and again. Thanks for your hospitality and friendship…See you next year. P.S. Blackie loves Apt. 6 the best!!” P.K.&W.K., Southington, Connecticut, USA (September 3, 2000)
“Thank you for being such gracious hosts. I was always comfortable and made to feel welcome in your special inn. I enjoy places with personal service and will be happy to recommend the Turtle Nest Inn to friends who visit Grand Cayman. All the best to you Alain and Marleine! Sincerely…” S.W., Seattle, Washington, USA (September 1, 2000)
“We had a lovely stay at the Inn. It is cozy & intimate. Diving at the East End was great. Our hosts were very sweet and helpful.” J.B.&G.B., Chatham, New Jersey, USA (August 31, 2000)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: Thank you for creating such a wonderful place. We spent 8 days here for our 16th Anniversary and everything was perfect. The Caribbean Night dinner on Tuesday was fantastic. Marleine, you are an excellent chef! We hope to return someday with our children to share your place with them. We will highly recommend the TNI to everyone we know! Thanks!” E.B.&A.B., Souderton, Pennsylvania, USA (August 29, 2000)
“Thanks for one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The hopitality & tranquility are unsurpassed.” B.R.&K.R., Damascus, Maryland, USA (August 28, 2000)
“Wow! If only we had known how wonderful this place would be, we would have made longer reservations. As honeymooners, we were looking for peace & tranquility and we found it here at the Inn.” Bronx, New York, USA (August 27, 2000)
“Dear M and A: This is our third stay at the TNI and it is always delightful. Thanks for a great dinner on Friday night and another hospitable and relaxing stay. With best wishes!” B.L.&L.L., Baltimore, Maryland, USA (August 27, 2000)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: Great spot! Beats the Hyatt!! We have very much enjoyed the few days of our honeymoon spent here. Relaxing & romantic, we shall remember it forever. Indian food was fantastic & a lovely apartment with a great view! Thanks again!” K.G.&J.G., Cheshire, England, UK (August 26, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Congratulations on your creation of an aesthetically beautiful and brilliantly designed inn. The inn together with your wonderful hospitality and outstanding dinners has made our first trip to Grand Cayman most enjoyable and memorable. Thanks for everything. Cathy found the dinners excellent and thanks you for making everyone feel at home. Lenore gives the whole experience two thumbs up. Zach says the food was very good and everything was fun. He enjoyed Marleine’s chopping open of the coconut he found! Your web site was extremely helpful – that’s how we found you. And the snorkeling was great. Thanks again! Good luck & much happiness to you both! I hope we will meet again!” M.B., C.M.,L.B.&Z.B., Oberlin, Ohio, USA (August 25, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Thanks for sharing your slice of tropical perfection with us. The dinners were the crowning touch to a week of great hospitality & humor in a unique location. We will be back very soon.” P.B.&F.F., Arlington, Virginia, USA (August 25, 2000)
“To all at Turtle Nest: Again, a huge thank-ya for your ever friendly and generous hospitality at your special spot on the island…my 3rd stay at the Inn…definitely not our last!!” D.H., Paget, Bermuda (August 24, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Well, to say it briefly, the Turtle Nest Inn is perfect in every respect! Very clean and very comfortable apartment, breathtaking ocean views and a homey atmosphere – all these leave you with no other choice but to enjoy the stay at Turtle Nest Inn to the fullest! Thank you so much! Places like yours aren’t often found!” R.M.&G.M., Pretoria, South Africa (August 23, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Cheers to a website that represented itself with complete honesty! Actually, having visited many islands, including Hawaii, I would definitely return here & stay here again. I do not often like to return to the same place twice (just because I love to explore the world & feel as if there isn’t enough time to see it all), but I would come here again, to Grand Cayman & the Turtle Nest Inn. The apartment was huge, luxurious & wonderful to return home to each day. I loved the freedom of being able to cook & provide my own meals vs. going out for every meal, which can be pricey. The Indian food night here was a treat & we sat with a couple from Vermont & had great conversation. You both have excellent taste, as this Inn is gorgeous, clean, airy & peaceful. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our week here was. And the island itself was hasslefree, casual, friendly & calm. And hey, driving on the left isn’t all that bad, after all. (And our windshield is very clean now. Those who experience left hand driving will soon understand the humour to that.) Thank you, thank you, thank you, and best wishes. P.S. We highly recommend the stingray sandbar trip!” J.E.&S.R., Los Angeles, California, USA (August 22, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Now…how do we put this? Our stay here has been perfect. We have said to each other several times that the Turtle Nest has been perfect and, should we return (when we return!), we will request #3 with its beautiful sunrise & moonrise view. The Indian food was wonderful and all of your suggestions have been great – Lighthouse, Kaibo Yacht Club, Tree House, the Wharf, and especially Ocean Frontiers dive shop. Thanks…” B.C.&L.H., Dorset, Vermont, USA (August 20, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Thank you so much for your hospitality and delightful company! Our stay here was the perfect compliment to our honeymoon. The patio dinners were the best food we had on the island and were great entertainment. Both of you are so kind…we hope to see you again.” E.C.&S.C., Manhattan, Kansas, USA (August 19, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Thank you for a wonderful experience in Cayman. Your hospitality is impeccable and your attention to every detail in providing us with the comforts of home is exceptional. We regret having to leave; we shall return. Fondest memories…” D.K.&C.K., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (August 18, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: We have enjoyed our stay with you tremendously. It was like being at home. The snorkelling was great here. Your location is fantastic and everything is first rate, especially the meal we had with you – First Class cooking. We will definitely recommend you – but not to too many people!!! We want to keep this secret paradise our own. Fond regards…” N.B.,A.B.&A.B., Wallingford, Pennsylvania, USA (August 18, 2000)
“(sigh) – 7 days gone and it is already time to head home. This being my 5th trip to Grand Cayman, it was wonderful having the Turtle Nest Inn to call our home…if only for a week. Probably no better place on the island to snorkel. This was Debbie’s first trip to Cayman and she fell in love with this place. We will count the days till our next trip and will be sure to stay again at the Turtle Nest Inn. P.S. The two dogs sure made it feel like home.” D.P.&D.L., Henderson, Texas, USA (August 17, 2000)
“Staying at the Turtle Nest Inn on our first trip to the Caymans has been a wonderful experience for the four of us, my husband, myself, & our 2 kids, ages 9 & 12. You have a superb location, with some of the best snorkeling on the island, right off your beach! Including all the many colorful fish & fantastic coral, we also saw a stingray and some squid! Capt. Dexter’s snorkeling trip was a great experience and holding a big ray in my arms was something I’ll never forget! Your wonderful Caribbean dinner was delicious and memorable. The Turtle Nest is a wonderful place to stay and relax – although we saw most of the island, we felt so comfortable right here!” S.H.&G.H., Houston, Texas, USA (August 16, 2000)
“The Turtle Nest Inn is a really cool place to stay & relax. Blackie & Tramp are so sweet. And it’s neat that you have a beach & pool right in your backyard. I loved seeing the stingrays w/ Captain Dexter (although they were really huge).” Heather (aged 12), Houston, Texas, USA (August 16, 2000)
“The Turtle Nest Inn is the coolest place to stay! The view from the balcony was really pretty. I thought the water was really clear! I think the beach was the best place to snorkel! I think Blackie and Tramp were really nice and cute. When we went to see the stingrays I thought they were really cute. When I touched them they were slimey and slippery. My mom got to feed and hold a big stingray. I thought the pool was really fun! We borrowed 4 movies called Titanic, LiarLiar, Forest Gump, and You’ve Got Mail. I thought LiarLiar and Forest Gump were funny. I thought Titanic was exciting and scary. I think I was too young to understand You’ve Got Mail but my sister Heather could understand it and liked it. I will miss the Turtle Nest Inn and I wish I could stay forever.” Ryan (aged 9), Houston, Texas, USA (August 16, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: You helped make our first trip to Grand Cayman a memorable and delightful one. It was too bad that we weren’t able to partake of a second delicious feast on Caribbean Night. You’ve definitely found the right tour guide for Stingray City – Capt. Dexter & he put us on to a charter that resulted in us landing a 36lb wahoo (Capt. Dallas). I hope that in a few years we’ll be scuba certified and ready for a repeat! Regards…” J.P., G.P., J.P.&Z.P., Atlanta, Georgia, USA (August 16, 2000)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: Thank you so much for making our honeymoon special. We enjoyed the inn, the food, the wonderful view from our (2nd) room, the snorkeling. Your sangria was magnifique! Many thanks, adios, adieu, goodbye.” M.B.&B.B., Ames, Iowa, USA (August 15, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Thank you so very much for making our last 2 days (on the island) so enjoyable and relaxing. You have a lovely Inn – we were just delighted. The view is absolutely magnificient and the accommodations were incredibly ‘homey’. We would recommend your Inn to anyone in search of the perfect island getaway. Kindest regards…” B.B.&E.P., Washington, DC, USA (August 13, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Grand Cayman is a wonderful place to visit – and all the better for the Turtle Nest Inn. We are already planning on returning, and will of course stay @ TNI! The dinner was excellent – sorry we missed Indian! What can I say – perfect, elegant, authentic, convenient, good value, romantic location. Thank you!! We had the perfect honeymoon because of you.” J.D.&J.P., Portland, Oregon, USA (August 13, 2000)
“Our first trip – not our last!! Marleine & Alain, you’ve created a very comfortable, light, airy, feel in your apartments, which is perfect for an island getaway. Your terrace dinner was superb. More than anything – your friendliness and help in tour guiding was very much appreciated. Hope to see you again.” T.W.&R.W., Aliso Viejo, California, USA (August 13, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Our first trip to Cayman was made beautiful from your warmth and wonderful gifts of welcoming generosity. From our first night of truly amazing Indian food (and charming company!), to all of the small touches that made us feel at home – to our last night’s meal at ‘Smugglers Cove’ – it was a most romantic and tranquil time – the perfect honeymoon! Extra special thanks for lending Henry your guitar so that he could serenade the surf from our balcony! Doreen – thank you for your excellent housekeeping and your beautiful singing! We hope to return one day to this corner of heaven…With the warmest of regards.” T.H.&H.H., Nashua, New Hampshire, USA (August 11, 2000)
“We visited our Cayman ‘family’ (Alain & Marleine!) for the second time this year. We had a wonderful time again. My kids, Taylor and Nicole, enjoyed the ‘see thru’ water, horseback riding, swimming with the stingrays, parasailing, waverunning, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. We hope to come back again some day. Thanks to Alain & Marleine for making our visit a wonderful experience again! We’ll miss you guys and the Caymans.” G.V.,N.V.,T.V.&L.K., Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA (August 10, 2000)

“Had a wonderful time! 2 weeks probably wasn’t long enough…but! Enjoyed the pool & the gorgeous view. Thank you.” I.P.&J.P., West Chicago, Illinois, USA (August 8, 2000)
“We had a wonderful time & really enjoyed our honeymoon stay here. Thanks for the great dinner & for being so personal & friendly with us. I’m sure my parents will be staying here before long. Thanks for everything – we’ll see you again someday.” G.C.&C.C., San Antonio, Texas, USA (August 5, 2000)
“You’ve created a sublime hideaway at Turtle Nest – your guests’ enjoyment and satisfaction (obviously present in abundance) is eloquent testimony to your judgement and hospitality. Our stay at Turtle Nest Inn exceeded our expectations, which were high from the beginning. We’d read other guests’ comments on your website and wondered how they could be so uniformly glowing. Now we know. You have created an ideal environment for people who seek to avoid hustle and bustle yet still desire comfort. As operators of a wonderful inn, you are available whenever there is a question that needs answering, but not in the least intrusive. There’s an old world, small inn ambience to Turtle Nest that is due entirely to what the two of you have put into it. Thank you for providing the backdrop (heart and soul, too) for a memorable holiday. And, like so many others, we shall soon get about the business of planning our return. Be warned: we’ll return! All good wishes…” R.M.&E.M., Emporia, Kansas, USA (August 3, 2000)
“I had a great time! Thanks for everything. We will be back” P.M. Emporia, Kansas, USA (August 3, 2000)
“Thanks ‘y’all’! We had a lovely visit and look forward to our return in January. Dinner was excellent – thanks so much for letting us share your home.” R.M.&S.M., Arkadelphia, Arkansas, USA (August 3, 2000)
(Translated from the French, above): “What impressed me most on Grand Cayman wasn’t the ideal weather, nor the steep underwater walls or even the amazing landscape of the still virgin dive sites at East End…But rather the multitude of small things you do every day to make your guests’ stay ‘more than perfect’. Thanks Marleine for having insisted on us discovering Ocean Frontiers and East End diving. Turtle Nest will always be our port of registry when exploring this magnificient underwater paradise. See you next time…P.S. Who knows — maybe we’ll have the privilege of diving with you during our next stay…and maybe Alain, too?” C.D.
(Translated from the French, above): “Dear Marleine and Alain: Not only has your work and imagination succeeded in growing an exceptional inn in the sand, which is outstanding in itself, but you also managed to give it life by endowing it with a soul, which is also exceptional. This soul is a happy blend of the two of you and the result is just simply charming in the real sense of the word. Long life to Turtle Nest Inn and to its two oustanding hosts. We’ll definitely be back! Very sincerely…” L.A., Beaumont, Québec, Canada (August 3, 2000)
“I’ve just spent my first week on the east end of Cayman – the Turtle Nest Inn is the friendliest and most hospitable of any resorts in the Caribbean! Despite a week of diving the beautiful reefs, I most looked forward to enjoying the pool and ocean view! The staff made sure we had a stressfree and enjoyable stay! It is truly a home away from home – Blackie and Tramp included. I look forward to returning! Thank you!” L.J., Elburn, Illinois, USA (July 30, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Thank you so much for a glorious honeymoon & birthday trip! My only regret is not discovering Marleine’s café au lait until the last day! Thank you for making us feel that we were staying at the home of close friends. We loved floating in the pool, petting the dogs & combing the beach for sea glass. Absolutely do not miss the home-made sangria — Olé! Indian Night – fabulous! We will be back! Our best to you…” R.C.&R.C., Belmont, California, USA (July 28, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Our vacation was GREAT! We felt as though we were part of your extended family. You even had the dog & let us borrow him as well! We congratulate you on your accomplishments with the facility & hope to see you in the future.” M.B.,T.B.&K.B., Lexington, Kentucky, USA (July 28, 2000)
“The Turtle Nest was the most wonderful place for us to spend our 20th anniversary. With the constant hustle of day to day life, the Turtle Nest was everything we had hoped for. It was a wonderful place to get lost for a week to enjoy the tropical paradise. What wonderful innkeepers – they had wonderful insight and run a very top-notch place. This is kind of like the place you would want to keep a secret to protect its unspoiled beauty and comfort.” K.C.&L.C., Glendale, Arizona, USA (July 27, 2000)
“What a warm and friendly place…but if you’re reading this, you already know. How can we keep this place a secret? But to do so would deny others the wander of this little piece of heaven. Great beach, awesome food, delightful hosts. What more could anyone ask for? We haven’t even left, and we’re already planning our return. When we arrived at the airport, the Customs Agent said ‘Welcome Home!’ How prophetic!!!” N.P.&D.S., Falls Church, Virginia, USA (July 23, 2000)
“Alain and Marleine: Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Staying in your inn is more than just a beautiful vacation or, relaxing place. It is a true experience in every sense of the word. Charm, atmosphere, beauty, friendly people, interesting dogs, and a real Cayman feeling. I will never forget it, will send more people and come back myself as often as possible – it could not be better. The dinners are always great! “Marleine & Alain, Merci!

And, at the entrance to this Eden, we were welcomed by two angels who spoke FRENCH! Unbelievable! These angels helped make our stay heavenly; everything here exudes quality and beauty. Thank you immensely. When Pierre and I are old and toothless, your names, Marleine and Alain, will still be in our memories.” A.R., Montréal, Québec, Canada (July 23, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: You have truly created something very special – a unique and charming blend of comfort, casualness, beauty & relaxation glazed with a bit of old world charm. You should be very proud of what you have created. And did I mention how much we loved our stay here? I can only hope we will return soon. Thank you for everything! All the best. P.S. Marleine, I loved your cooking, too!!” J.G.&J.G., Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA (July 22, 2000)

Thank you for everything. We will see you when we take our second honeymoon! Best Wishes…” D.C.&C.C., San Mateo, California, USA (July 21, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: The best vacation ever! The Inn is ‘Fabulous’! Quaint, yet elegant! Most of all, the privacy and romance you experience that is impossible to get in a hotel, is priceless. We thoroughly enjoyed ‘Indian Night’. The food, music & conversation was great! Thank you again for the wonderful memories — will be back.” D.A.&C.L., Renton, Washington, USA (July 20, 2000)
“We enjoyed the ambience of your inn. The snorkeling here is great and the evening pool swim before retiring was fun. We were lucky to stay for a long enough time to really get to know your island. Thanks for everything.” N.R.&D.R., San Diego, California, USA (July 18, 2000)
“Dear Alain, Marleine & Blackie: Wow! What a view you have here, in & out of the water! We very much enjoyed our week stay with you. You made us feel like guests in your home with your warm hospitality, fantastic dinner & never ending smiles. It’s rare to find people who deliver everything they promise. You are such a find. You think of everything. We couldn’t be happier with our vacation choice. Thank you for making this the most perfect, relaxing & beautiful vacation for us. We are looking forward to next time (so are our dogs, Brandy & Xeana)! Wishing you the best…” J.P.&C.P., Voorhees, New Jersey, USA (July 17, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: We cannot thank you enough for a fantastic (but brief) stay! Turtle Nest Inn is as wonderful, charming, and romantic as the web site made it to be! Best of luck with everything and look forward to seeing you and Blackie again soon! Cheers and take care!” L.M.&B.S., Arlington, Virginia, USA (July 16, 2000)
“This was truly a dream come true vacation. We both have wonderful memories to take home with us. I will recommend the Inn to all! It was so romantic here that we are leaving engaged! Thank you for a wonderful & memorable stay.” L.A.&M.I., Waterbury, Connecticut, USA (July 15, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: Your place is breathtaking! Jamie & I could not have asked for a better place to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy the Cayman Islands. I can assure you we will be back. I think, well I know, this is the best-kept inn on the island. (I’m impressed with the maid service! I hope Jamie doesn’t expect me to live up to these standards! Ha!) I am so happy we picked this place to spend our honeymoon. We will miss Blackie, Tramp and your wonderful long-term guests Frank & Linda! Thank you again for the amazing hospitality, Alain’s wit and Marleine your sweetness and graciousness! Words cannot express our thanks! P.S. We knew this was the place for us when we arrived on the 7th day of the 7th month and stayed in apartment #7!!! P.S.S. We were also impressed, you can tell a lot of thought and creativity has been added to make one’s stay special – from the colorful beach towels, the free move rentals, to the dinners to get to know you both & the guests, the mirrors and the name Turtle Nest Inn. Every detail of this place is an added pleasure! It truly is intimate & elegant. God bless…” J.M.&J.M., Johnson City, Tennessee, USA (July 14, 2000)
“Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful place! We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon on the Cayman Islands. The Turtle Nest Inn was a very romantic, restful place to be. Thanks for your hospitality! We hope to come back and send all of our friends!” M.L.&T.L., Redmond, Washington, USA (July 12, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: This has been the most wonderful vacation! The rooms are so nice & the hospitality can’t be beat. We have enjoyed the sun & sand & the beauty of the ocean. Thank you for Indian Night. It was lovely. I’ll be sure & send you occasional updates on all the animals back home. Thanks for your humor Alain, it is unmatched. Maybe we will be able to repeat our visit sometime. That would be wonderful. Thank you !” K.W.&H.B., Lebanon, Tennessee, USA (July 11, 2000)
“Our stay was wonderful! Without a doubt, we made the right choice to make our temporary home the Turtle Nest. We found elegance without pretension, comfort with thoughtful attention to detail, and warm, gracious and humerous hosts who helped us with a bottle of peroxide (for a minor but traumatic cut) and served us a great Indian dinner. You made us feel like new friends – a rare gift that makes a special place even more special. Following your recommendations, our excursions were exceptional – especially the snorkel cruise with Captain Dexter and the sunset sail with Danny Phillips – they cared about the island and all its creatures. Hoo-ray for the internet and for the cyber highway which lead us to you!! P.S. On our next trip to Grand Cayman, we won’t even consider any accommodations other than Turtle Nest Inn.” D.R.,D.P.,K.R.&B.P., Portland, Oregon, USA (July 9, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: We had originally booked a cruise for this week and are glad we changed our minds and decided to stay on the beautiful island of Grand Cayman instead. We’re especially thankful we came across the Turtle Nest Inn on the internet. It sounded like just what we were looking for. And it has been! We’ve liked the full kitchen, clean rooms, newspaper in the mornings, the use of the cooler, the friendly people and your pool and beach. This was my husband’s and my first time away by ourselves (without our 3 children). We celebrated our 18th anniversary this week and have enjoyed snorkeling around the island and especially swimming with the stingrays. We hope to be back soon! Thank you!” A.D.&S.D., Urbana, Ohio, USA (July 9, 2000)
“We had a wonderful time. The Turtle Nest Inn is the MOST beautiful resort I have ever stayed in. Everyone was extra friendly, the view was magnificient – all in all making our stay more than memorable.” S.S.&T.S., Rochester, New York, USA (July 7, 2000)
“Thanks for a great week’s R+R. We had a super time at your place and on the island. Best regards…” K.R.&V.R., Albany, Georgia, USA (July 7, 2000)
“We really enjoyed our stay here. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. Our apartment was perfect! If we come to the Caymans again, which I hope we will, we will stay here only. Your coral reef is very beautiful – hard to believe it was free! Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness. We have already recommended your place to others on the island and friends back home. Hope to see you both again.” J.F.&T.F., Richmond, Virginia, USA (July 6, 2000)
“Your resort on the beach was exactly what I had hoped for. I had been dreaming about a vacation on the ocean & going to sleep to the sound of the waves. That is why I was so disappointed when we first started looking into resorts in Cayman. We were very lucky to find Turtle Nest Inn. Your hospitality has been great and it was wonderful of you to setup our car and our trip to Little Cayman. We know you went out of your way for us, especially dealing with my company’s travel agent. Thank you for helping make our vacation as wonderful as possible – it is one we will long remember. We will certainly promote the Turtle Nest Inn as one of the best, if not the best place to stay on the island for a quiet, relaxing & exceptional experience! Thank you for all you have done for us.” K.N.&A.N., Englewood, Colorado, USA (July 4, 2000)
“Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality! This was a great place to stay and enjoy Grand Cayman for the very first time. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We’re already planning on saving towards our 30th! (Not wait for the 50th!!!) Thank you so much again. Sincerely…” A.M.&R.M., Charlotte, North Carolina, USA (July 3, 2000)
“Turtle Nest Inn lived up to all the great reports on the internet. It couldn’t have been more perfect for our honeymoon. We began our stay with Marleine’s delicious Caribbean dinner and a toast from the other guests celebrating our marriage. We have never stayed anywhere as comfortable. The views & the sound of the surf were wonderful. Everyone should try the red snapper at The Edge. We liked it so much we ate there twice! The week has lived up to all our hopes & expectations. Thanks so much, Alain & Marleine. We hope to be back many more times. Warmest regards…” D.O.&C.O., Plainview, Texas, USA (July 2, 2000)
“Alain and Marleine: We have dreamed about a holiday in Cayman for a couple of years – thanks for helping to make our dreams come true. Turtle Nest Inn was more wonderful than we had imagined. The view of the lagoon from our apartment enticed us to join the schools of blue tang, search out the shy squirrel fish and listen to the sounds of the huge rainbow parrot fish scrunching up the coral. Magic! Turtle Nest Inn combines the qualities of ‘home’ and ‘hotel’ in so many ways, you really have invented a totally new concept for holiday accommodation. The terrace dinners brought all your guests together and made us feel like a bunch of friends. Your beautiful apartment, which was kept so clean with heaps of fresh towels every day, made us feel that we were living in luxury. Wishing you every success for the future…” B.O.,J.O.&J.O., Silverstone, England, UK (July 1, 2000)
“It is in these moments in our lives when what is behind us and what lays ahead remind us that it is not our destinies we enjoy, but the journey to those ends. Thanks to you both, Alain and Marleine, for the time and peaceful enjoyment we all steal away from you and the Caribbean.” K.S.&R.S., Orefield, Pennsylvania, USA (June 29, 2000)
“From the pre-dawn hours when the gardener carefully rakes the sand (I was watching the magnificient sunrise from our balcony), to the wee hours of laughter and stories with Alain, Marleine and other visitors, after an elegantly prepared and expertly presented Caribbean dinner, the Turtle Nest Inn offers its guests the BEST of the Cayman Islands. As the Psalmist David wrote, “The Earth is the Lords & the fullness thereof”, and we are truly thankful to the Source of every good and perfect gift for this opportunity to experience the fullness of His Gracious Blessings for our 29th wedding anniversary. Thank you, Alain & Marleine for your hospitality!” M.W.&S.W., Houston, Texas, USA (June 28, 2000)
“We spent our first 2 nights in Grand Cayman on Seven Mile Beach. What a relief it was when we finally arrived at the Turtle Nest Inn. The rooms are charming, clean and comfortable – the pool is refreshing and relaxing – and the snorkeling out back is wonderful. Thank you Alain and Marleine for making our first trip to the Caymans feel just like a perfect Caribbean dream! The Turtle Nest Inn has definitely not seen the last of us.” T.H.&E.M, Atlanta, Georgia, USA (June 28, 2000)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: It’s one thing to find the perfect spot to build your dream…it’s another to build a beautiful and homey style retreat…but what makes Turtle Nest Inn special are the two of you. Your charm, grace, attention and advice helped make our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. We will surely recommend your peaceful accommodations. Thanks to you and a great housekeeping staff! Also loved the dogs!” M.H.&C.H., Libertyville, Illinois, USA (June 27, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Thanks for making our honeymoon a trip we will never forget. Your Inn is wonderful and peaceful. Just what we needed after a year of wedding planning and festivities. We loved apartment #8. The view is spectacular! The Indian Night dinner was to die for. Some of the best Indian food we have ever had. You are so fortunate to live in this piece of paradise. We wish you continued success and hope to visit with you again. Give Blackie & Tramp lots of hugs and kisses for us! Love…” K.R.&J.R., Nashville, Tennessee, USA (June 26, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Thanks for a wonderful stay at Turtle Nest Inn. We found this to be all that we had hoped for & more, for a place to spend our honeymoon. We found it to be just far enough away from all the hustle & bustle, yet close enough that we didn’t spend all day in the car when we wanted to see the rest of the island. Snorkeling right off the shore was fantastic! And how nice to come ‘home’ to a really clean apartment everyday!! And Dinner! Whoa! We can’t say enough thank you’s! Delicious! Thank you for your kind hospitality — we hope to see you again. P.S. The mirrored closet doors next to the bed — nice touch!!” J.L.&T.L., Lynchburg, Virginia, USA (June 24, 2000)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: Thank you for making our stay at Turtle Nest Inn such a memorable one! This was the perfect place on Cayman for our family vacation. The snorkeling off your beach was awesome! And the Indian Night dinner on our last night here was excellent! We are so sad to be leaving. We look forward to a stay at Turtle Nest Inn next summer. Nicholas & Alexander are also going to miss Blackie. Love…” A.K.,S.K.,N.K.&A.K., Plano, Texas, USA (June 24, 2000)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: As teachers, we rarely see and experience such tranquility and beauty. When we first saw the view from #6, no words were adequate to describe the fabulous view. We also enjoyed the layout of Apt. #3 and the easy access to the beach. Apt. #8 is by far the most gorgeous, and its vistas are extremely panoramic. Finally, Apt. #4 was great with the pool just steps away from the patio. Turtle Nest Inn was a ‘Moveable Feast’. By far, your most outstanding feature is the remoteness of the Inn’s location which wraps you in its arms of peace and all tensions just melt away. And thank you for being there to meet any need we had; yet, you also were unobtrusive, so it seemed we were at ‘home’. Thanks so much…” F.F.,K.F.&J.F, Roswell, New Mexico, USA (June 21, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: When we decided to spend part of our vacation on Grand Cayman, we were not expecting to live soooo many great experiences…One of the most important was to find this charming place called ‘Turtle Nest Inn’. What good luck! As a start, we woke up early in the morning, opened the front view window and saw an amazing tornado coming slowly from the horizon! It was getting weak, but we could see the water of the sea going up!! We will never ever forget that thing! The same way, we will never forget that we had the opportunity to help you save a baby nurse shark. We hope that he gets well and comes back soon to your beach…’Life is a trip, not a destination.’ We want to thank you both for helping us turn part of our trip into an exciting experience…Wet hugs!!” V.S.&E.L., Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (June 21, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Thanks for making us feel ‘at home’. Your inn is lovely! We enjoyed all the special touches. The patio, pool, beach and view are all wonderful. We’re glad we decided to stay at the Turtle Nest a few days on our way back to Arizona from Cayman Brac. Diving with Ocean Frontiers was great, as usual. Thank you! Sincerely…” C.D.,P.D.&C.D., Tucson, Arizona, USA (June 20, 2000)
“Alain and Marleine: When I found the Turtle Nest Inn on the Internet last winter, I knew at once that I’d found the perfect vacation spot for our family and 20th anniversary celebration! We were not disappointed! The 2 BR apartment was spacious and spotless. You thought of every little detail to guarantee a comfortable stay. We loved the Italian dinner on the patio and the opportunity to meet the other guests. You are both very warm and gracious, and you were expectionally kind to our 2 daughters, both of whom would like to move right in to the TNI! Thank you for all of your dinner recommendations – they were all excellent! The sangria was a treat, the pool and beach were peaceful and lovely, and the dogs a huge hit! We will spread the word about your charming and beautiful inn! We will also plan a return trip! Thank you!” L.C.&D.C., Concord, North Carolina, USA (June 18, 2000)
“Thanks so much for the great room. It was perfect. We had everything we needed. We went around the whole island in one day. Tramp and Blackie were so so so so sweet and cute. Whenever we went to the pool, we had it to ourselves. I loved the Italian dinner. It was so good. I didn’t want to leave but I know we have to. Thanks again.” Elizabeth (9 years old), Concord, North Carolina, USA (June 18th 2000)
“Thanks so much for the great apartment. It was perfect. We had a GREAT week. I loved the pool; it was great. The location was great. We got to see the whole island just by going to different beaches and places to snorkel. The Italian dinner couldn’t have been better. I have had such a great vacation – thanks for all of your help.” Laura (12 years old), Concord, North Carolina, USA (June 18, 2000) .
“Thank you for the best vacation we’ve ever had. The TNI exceeded our hopes & expectations. You truly have the most beautiful place on the island. Thank you for the numerous extras. I would like to add that your Italian meal was the best meal I had all vacation – you are great cooks and hosts! Very warm and comfortable. I was at ease and loved it here. I am very sad to leave. I also loved all the dogs. They made me feel very welcome! I will miss it here. Thank you for EVERYTHING!” E.K.&L.K., Westchester, New York, USA (June 17, 2000)
“Thanks to you two for making our vacation most enjoyable. Coming to a strange place is kinda scary, but you all made us feel right at home. ‘We will be back’!” B.W.&J.W., Brazoria, Texas, USA (June 15, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: This was nirvana!!! We haven’t been away (alone!) for 6 yrs. This was the most incredible & delightful experience we have ever had. Your beautiful Inn & the accommodations were top notch (we will always have fond memories of our 1st stay in the Caymans…especially that room ‘2’)! We will be back…sooner than later. And we won’t have a wedding here so our time will be a little more free to spend here at ‘the nest’ poolside & snokeling. You are a superb chef Marleine & wonderful hosts! We shall miss you both & your adorable dog Blackie & his sidekick ‘Tramp’!! Loved shopping South Sound – Pure Art 1!! Spent all of Peter’s $ in 1 hr!!! Thank you, thank you again for the wonderful experience, your tips, Doreen & her impeccably clean style & of course all of our room experiences. We enjoyed it all. Fondly…” H.M.&P.M., Ligonier, Pennsylvania, USA (June 15, 2000)
“Alain, Marleine, and Doreen: Thank you so much for everything you all gave to us! It began the moment we arrived at the inn. Chris and I were both immediately charmed by the architecture of the inn, but more importantly by the caring people here! You made our honeymoon and first trip to Grand Cayman something we will never forget! Thank you for the sparkling wine you left in the fridge for us to find after a ‘hard’ day of exploring the island. Everyone here made us feel so special. Kudos to you as well for the fantastic dinners we enjoyed! Everything was done to absolute perfection! Thank you again for everything! We hope to return soon.” C.O.&C.O., Richmond, Kentucky, USA (June 11, 2000)

He tells me you were very friendly and helpful to him in planning our stay, with helpful suggestions for activities here. This was all a wonderful surprise for me as he planned it all secretly for our 15th wedding anniversary. Everything here was perfect – only regret the need to leave. With wishes to return. Our best to you both. Thank you so very much.” L.S.&W.S., Hollywood, Florida, USA (June 10, 2000)

Merci beaucoup!” J.L.&A.L., Singapore (June 2, 2000)

Thanks so much!” K.W., Houston, Texas, USA (May 30, 2000)

I was very impressed. This would not have happened in any other place. Dinner last night was absolutely beautiful with all the special touches you two gave it. We love the Turtle Nest Inn – your care is seen all over it. Hope to be back someday.” P.D.&I.D., Miami, Florida, USA (May 25, 2000)
“Alain & Marleine: From the moment we walked through the entrance of the ‘The Inn’, we knew we had found the right place. When we walked into our apartment, we were absolutely stunned by the view and the layout. It was even said ‘no matter what happens now, nothing can ruin our vacation’. It then rained for two days but sure enough, we still had a good time. We thoroughly enjoyed the Italian Night and the opportunity to meet some of the other guests. Both of you are excellent entertainers and hosts! The snorkeling was excellent and there is nothing better than a post-snorkel dip in the pool. But most of all it was the peace and serenity of the Inn that far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate our first ten days as a married couple. We will be sure to recommend ‘The Turtle Nest’ and hope to be back again. Please also give our good-byes to Blackie and Tramp…” C.O.&H.O., Boston, Massachusetts, USA (May 24, 2000)

We hope to return soon to this island & the Turtle Nest Inn. Also, we enjoyed the chats with Linda & Frank & ‘of course, Tramp’. We found it enjoyable anytime we entered the Inn and Blackie was there to greet us with his tail waggin!. Thank you for everything!” R.S.&D.S., Lilburn, Georgia, USA (May 24, 2000)

We now have a place to stay whenever we’re in the Caymans, and will schedule our timetable around your vacancies. All the best.” P.M.&S.M., Cape Town, South Africa (May 21, 2000)

“Paradise! Thank you for everything.” B.R., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (May 16, 2000)
“Staying our first week on Grand Cayman at Seven Mile Beach made the ‘Turtle Nest Inn experience’ even more wonderful. Any plans to do more touring of the island were forgotten by the opportunity for unlimited swimming & snorkelling just out our front door! (Apartment 4 is the best!) Discovering the Inn via the Internet has finally validated the purchase of my PC! To future guests, we recommend ‘The Edge’, a stingray snorkel, and using Cayman dollars. To Alain & Marleine, thanks for your help & info via our email correspondance & thru your detailed website, and thanks for building this inn!! Best wishes.” G.P.&C.P., Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada (May 16, 2000)
“Our most pleasurable week ever! So personable, hospitable and friendly. The Italian Night dinner was so special. This is definitely the place to stay on Grand Cayman. A wonderful island, a wonderful resort. We’ll savor our memories for our lifetimes, and Captain Dexter was super – very helpful to this first time snorkeller. The snorkelling at the resort was a water wonderland. Thanks, Alain and Marleine, for a magnificient, memorable vacation.” D.W&B.W., Westfield, Massachusetts, USA (May 14, 2000)
“Wow! What a great place! We think that a few more establishments should follow in your footsteps. The location, full kitchen, patio dinner, snorkeling out front, hospitality were all incredible!! We are only sorry that we have to leave so soon! Thanks, Alain & Marleine, for a wonderful stay! The dinner was fabulous!” R.N.&G.T., Auburn, Washington, USA (May 13, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: What can we say? Being here in Cayman and here at the Turtle Nest made our honeymoon very memorable. Your friendliness and warmth made our stay here an unforgettable experience. The dinner was great. The apartment was wonderful. The atmosphere, outstanding. We have already decided when we come back to Cayman that we want to stay here with you. You made us feel like family. Love. P.S. Thanks for all the great tips on what to see and who to see it with. Thanks!!” H.K.&T.K., Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA (May 12, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: In a fast paced world of computers & speed, we often fail to stop & smell the roses. But after 1 day here, you learn not only how to stop, smell, but to see the beauty. These 5 days have been a time, not away from our family, but with a new extended family. Your warmth & caring for the people that stay here is what makes this a home away from home. We hope you have a good time in France this September & look forward to hearing about your trip when we return in October. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.” B.S.&P.S., Bensenville, Illinois, USA (May 11, 2000)

“We leave with heavy hearts because our week went far too quickly. Alain and Marleine, you have created a wonderful environment for forgetting the cares of the world. I can’t recall when we’ve been more relaxed and, at the same time, felt more at home. Thank you and be assured, all our friends will hear our recommendations for your wonderful Inn. Best of luck with your undertaking.” L.W.&K.W., Nashville, Tennessee, USA (May 9, 2000)

Thank you so much. It’s been a wonderful experience.” B.R., Chicago, Illinois, USA (May 8, 2000)

“If you can only take one week’s holiday a year, consider visiting Grand Cayman and, above all, staying at the Turtle Nest Inn. Far from the madding crowds of Seven Mile Beach, this beautiful spot is the perfect base to explore the more remote, and more beautiful, areas of the island – Bodden Town (on your doorstep), the East End (for amazing scuba diving), and Cayman Kai (for admiring beautiful houses). Many thanks to Alain and Marleine for your warm hospitality (not to mention a fantastic Caribbean dinner overlooking the sea). I will certainly recommend this place to anyone in need of some serious R&R. Best regards, and I hope to come back soon!” D.P., London, England, UK (May 7, 2000)
“Four little women, arriving on four different flights and with four different personalities…not an easy foursome to please. But we had a fabulous time at the Turtle Nest Inn. Thanks to the warm hospitality of Alain & Marleine, the beautiful setting and the great company. Thank you so much for allowing us to feel at home here…at home away from home. Hope to see you again soon. Warmest regards.” Z.K., New York, New York, USA (May 7, 2000)
“Enjoyed our stay here, beautiful setting, relaxing atmosphere, clean – sure beats the hecticness of the west side, Yah Mon. We’ll be back!!” J.L.,R.T.,L.W.&P.S., Vancouver, Washington, USA (May 6, 2000)
“We went to Hell (Grand Cayman) and came back to Heaven at the Turtle Nest Inn! We love you, Marleine & Alain!” L.K.&G.V., Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA (May 3, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Once again our stay at the Turtle Nest Inn was wonderful – we said we’d be back! Glad we opted for a two week stay this time – a week just isn’t enough. Although we know we must return to reality (yuk!), it’s always tough to leave paradise behind. My parents truly enjoyed their stay in Grand Cayman as well – who knows, we may bring the whole family back next time! Until next time! P.S. John (my son) really enjoyed having the girls in Apt. #6 – it made his vacation a little more memorable!” J.L.,D.L.,J.L.,E.L.&C.L., Baiting Hollow, New York, USA (May 2, 2000)
“Of the resorts we have stayed at, the Turtle Nest Inn will remain the most unique and special. This sensation is due, in part, to the personal interest of Alain and Marleine toward the guests. The speciality dinners encourage meeting other guests and we feel fortunate to have met Frank and Linda. Thanks for everything.” R.D.&J.D., Concord, New Hampshire, USA (May 1,2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Our stay at your Inn was all we expected and much more. You are exceptional hosts. We will be back – but not soon enough.” D.L.&L.L., Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA (April 30, 2000)

Hope your family and business continue to do well.” J.K.,H.K.,J.K.&T.K., Linden, Michigan, USA (April 30, 2000)
“We came here stressed from our hectic-filled lives, looking & needing some relaxation. We leave today tanned, relaxed, well-fed and happy. The accommodations were outstanding and the service beyond our expectations. You have a lovely piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing it with us. P.S. Italian Night was great. Can’t wait to come back & try Caribbean Night!” G.L.&M.L., Glassboro, New Jersey, USA (April 30, 2000)
“Had a wonderful time at your beautiful Inn. We will come back again. Will write more next time!” H.S.&G.S., Commack, New York, USA (April 27, 2000)
“By a quick reckoning, this is my fifteenth trip to the Caribbean (sixth island) and this is the best place I have ever stayed. Marleine & Alain – you have put together a truly superb enterprise. This place takes all the cares, worry, stress and tension and just washes them away. We are eagerly looking forward to coming back next year. Well done!” R.A.&E.P., Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada (April 24, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: I’ve been reading through your guest books and am not surprised by all of the superlative comments expressing thanks for your hospitality as hosts and your incredibly fine taste in designing an Inn that is as close to perfect as one could imagine. What more can I add? We knew from the first moment (Marleine asking ‘is that Nancy & Terry?’ — where else would guests be greeted by their first names?!) that this would be a remarkable vacation. Although we have ventured out every day and have explored the island, it is here at the Inn & in Bodden Town where we want to spend our time. The children insisted that we not take them away from here today, our second of last day, because even they want to treasure the experience. Thank you for creating a place where families like ours can reclaim time together that is so difficult to find. We are already scheming a way to return! To A&M: Simple words for simple pleasures at T.N.I. Your gracious and informal hospitality is unmatched in our experience. Thanks so very much for a truly memorable visit – a salve for our souls.” N.B.,T.S.,I.S.&A.S., Durham, North Carolina, USA (April 20, 2000)
“Thank you for the best family vacation we’ve had in our 15 years. The kids had just as much fun as we did. The snorkeling was just beautiful. We tried all spots on the island and kept coming back to this one. The moonlit nights made you feel like you’re in paradise. Thanks again for giving us just what we needed to get away from our busy lives and spend time as a family. We’ll be back.” J.A.,J.A.,J.A.,A.A.&B.A., Branford, Connecticut, USA (April 20, 2000)
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. I really don’t want to leave!! You both have a GORGEOUS spot in the Caymans. Everything is impeccable – clean and well-appointed. I am sure you will have wonderful success! Good luck with business & all the best fun ‘n sun!! Thanks!!” K.S.&J.D., Naples, Florida, USA (April 19, 2000)
“Our 2nd wedding anniversary. Thank you so much for 4 nights and days of sheer relaxation and bliss…The Turtle Nest Inn is the perfect getaway for people of all ages and we loved the welcoming feel and ‘homey’ touches around the place. From the amazing Indian dinner, to the snorkelling equipment, the lending video library and the great apartment, everything added up to make our 2nd wedding anniversary just perfect!!! Thank you for being lovely hosts!” S.K.&T.K., Hermosa Beach, California, USA (April 18, 2000)
“This place is a little bit of heaven! Alain & Marleine are the Innkeepers of the Year! The service & hospitality are outstanding. By far the best on the island. We visited others and this place stands out like a ‘star’. Beautiful view & outstanding beach & snorkeling. The Inn makes you feel like you are 20 years younger. Thank you so much from Bob & Eileen for the vacation of our lives.” B.W.&E.O., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA (April 18, 2000)
“What impressed us first was the breathtaking view of the ocean as we entered the Inn. Superior service, clean grounds, friendly staff and crystal-clear water right outside the Inn provided a perfect setting for an unforgettable vacation. The Inn expereience is a momentous leap above the typical resort vacation. Discovering the Turtle Nest Inn is like finding a hidden treasure! Thank you Alain and Marleine, we had a wonderful time!” M.D.&V.B., Cedar Park, Texas, USA (April 17, 2000)
“Cayman memories – lying in bed watching the sun rise over the water…holding in my arms an incredibly soft, gentle stingray…seeing a giant green moray eel being lured from his hiding place under the rocks at the reef…rainbow colored fish in Smith’s Cove…the friendly service in restaurants and shops…the elegant and relaxing dinner on the Inn terrace…and, above all, the warm hospitality of our hosts Alain and Marleine.” B.T.&C.T., Alexandria, Virginia, USA (April 16, 2000)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: You are the host & hostess who far exceeded our expectations. Your web site was a wonderful introduction to your lovely luxurious inn on the sea in Grand Cayman. A dream come true for us. Thank you for the lovely dinner by the sea. The food was fabulous & we enjoyed the company of the other guests who were enjoying themselves as much as we did. We look forward to returning and bringing our friends & family. Thanks for everything.” R.F.&G.F., Howell, Michigan, USA (April 15, 2000)
“Thank God for the World Wide Web; without it we would not have stumbled onto Turtle Nest. After reading the testimonials that spoke so highly of TNI, we hardly batted an eye at booking our honeymoon here the next day. From the moment we walked into the foyer to be greeted by Alain and the incredible sea views, to our last dinner here (Indian Night) our stay has been the perfect combination of relaxing, adventurous, peaceful and comfortable. All of your recommendations for sightseeing (and eating!) were right on the mark. We found that the location of TNI gave us easy access to the things we wanted to do without dealing with all the hype and traffic of the Tourist Trap (aka Seven Mile Beach). So, if you’re out there, reading this on your computer screen, remember this: 1)Believe what you’re reading – we wouldn’t lie about what a wonderful place this is; 2)Book now!! Apartments 6,7 & 8 have the best views; 3)Don’t be afraid to stay off the beaten path; 4)Go to Caribbean Night & Indian Night; 5)Always pull your lounge chair next to each other so that you can be closer to the one you love. Thanks for everything — the Honeymooners!” B.E.&A.E., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA (April 15, 2000)

“Dear Alain and Marleine: They say great things come in small packages. The Turtle Nest Inn was certainly one of them. We loved everything from the alfesco dinners to the wonderful people who are staying there. The beach & pool are so beautiful and peaceful, the accommodations were perfect, and the people so nice. We are so sad to be leaving and we’re certain that we’ll be back very soon. Keep up the great work (but we don’t think you can do better than you’re doing now). Once again, thanks sooo much for the wonderful vacation.” L.R.,P.R.,C.R.&N.R., Bethesda, Maryland, USA (April 3, 2000)

It is truly Mediterranean – we know – if ever you want to do a swap, contact us on our website. Hope to see you again.” S.F.&P.F., Oxford, England, UK (March 30, 2000)

“Catherine & I are leaving now after a fantastic 11-day vacation. The Inn has treated us very well and we are sad to go. I will long remember the swimming, delicious meals prepared by Marleine, the anniversary (1 year) of the Inn with a campfire on the beach, the rum cake (mmm-good) and friendly dogs. I saw the southern cross last night on the horizon around 10:00pm pointing the way towards the south celestial pole. How I love spending time at the beach. Duty calls and time goes by. Life has a funny way of bringing us to and from paradise. Word has it rain awaits us in NY and I must work tomorrow. Bye-bye Turtle Nest Inn until we come again. We will miss you.” J.F., Rochester, New York, USA (March 27, 2000)
“Thank you for the beautiful views and the solitude. The rooms were decorated with marvelous taste. Thank you. We were so happy to join you on the 1st Anniversary of this special place.” C.F., Rochester, New York, USA (March 27, 2000)
“It’s almost time for us to go – and I find I’m not really ready yet. I must say – we are sure we will be back to Cayman and certainly here at Turtle Nest. We especially enjoyed being part of your first anniversary celebration, and the Italian supper was an unexpected treat. We loved our accommodations in #7, and thought that the daily newspaper every morning was a thoughtful, special touch. We like a nice, clean, comfortable apartment with all the ‘finer’ comforts of a hotel and we think we’ve found that here. I’ll stay away from 7 mile beach or Rum Point and relax at your pool. Late afternoon cocktails at ‘The Edge’ were fun too. All in all, this was a good choice for us. Thanks to Marleine & Alain for your hospitality & low key presence.” C.B.&J.B., Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA (March 25, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Turtle Nest was even better than we expected; it made our first visit to Grand Cayman very memorable. The delicious meal you prepared was just like home (we’re Italian!) and thank you so much for including us in your 1st Anniversary celebration – it was so nice to be treated to a barbecue the first night we arrived. You’re both so gracious and generous – we’ll certainly be back!” R.M.&R.M., Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA (March 25, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: We have had a very relaxing & wonderful 9 nights at Turtle Nest Inn. The location was central to everything we wanted to see, an ideal spot for us! The accommodations were everything we heard, fairly new (1 yr.), very clean (the whole Inn), & you were both the friendliest & warmest hosts we’ve had. Your recommendations were not only great (you know all these people!), many times we were given a discount because we mentioned ‘Turtle Nest Inn’. We are sorry to leave, but know that one day we will be back to enjoy Turtle Nest Inn again. Thanks for letting us be a part of your 1 year anniversary party! Best Wishes!” J.M.&B.M., San Francisco, California, USA (March 25, 2000)
“Marleine & Alain: Congratulations on your first year. You should be proud of your creative achievement. This was a wonderful place to heal, relax & enjoy. “Marleine & Alain: You are superb hosts & have built a wonderful inn. Your blend of attentiveness & solitude is superb. You inn design & attention to the smallest details provide total enjoyment of the sun & moon rising, ease of access to the total island & a wonderful reef to snorkel. Capt. Dexter’s trip to swim with the rays was a perfect recommendation & a wonderful morning. We compliment you on a job well done. Congratulations to your first year.” S.G.&C.G., Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA (March 22, 2000)

The best maid service & more towels than anyone could ever need! All this & yet there were times when we felt like we were the only ones at the Inn. I don’t think we shared the pool once. You have that perfect blend of privacy and attentiveness. Also, thank you for recommending Captain Dexter for Stingray City – his trip was amazing! Thanks again.” J.M.,R.M.,T.M.&A.M., Markham, Ontario, Canada (March 15, 2000)

“Nick and I thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon on Grand Cayman. Little did we know the hosts would be so charming and accommodating. They even stayed up past midnight to let us in on our first day after a 14-hour trip to the island. And, the Indian dinner was superb – kudos to the chef. If our time in Bodden Town is any indication of the health of our marriage, Nick and I will have many happy years together. Hope to be back someday. God bless you both.” N.C.&H.C., Arlington, Virginia, USA (March 13, 2000)

We thank you, Alain and Marleine, for your hospitality and we will definitely make the Inn ‘our home away from home’ next time.” D.G.&G.G., Calgary, Alberta, Canada (March 7, 2000)

Sometimes it does one good to enjoy Cayman like a ‘tourist’. We congratulate you on such a well organised, well run, lovely accommodation. Anyone we spoke to said they much preferred it to 7-Mile Beach. We tend to agree. We wish you continued success and add our renewed very best wishes to you both for much health, peace & prosperity in this great Jubilee year 2000. Kindest regards.” P.G.&J.G., Savannah, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (January 8, 2000)
