“Dear Alain & Marleine: What a wonderful, charming, home-away-from home. Thank you for opening up your inn away from the tourist trappings. Although we spent our honeymoon at the Westin, we wish we would have found your place first. Thanks for everything. Happy New Year!!” G.Y.&D.Y., Boynton Beach, Florida, USA (December 31, 2001)
“Thank you for everything! The 3rd year in a row was just as great as the other 2. It was a great Christmas, thanks for everything! See you again next year!” T.O., West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA (December 29, 2001)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: Three times and three times as nice! Thank you for welcoming us into your home.” H.O.&P.O., West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA (December 29, 2001)
“We’re sorry to be leaving your safe residence. What a lovely home you have and I will think often of it when we are shoveling snow this winter. You were gracious as hostess and host and really made us feel at home with you. This was truly a blessed Christmas that we spent here. Hoping to see you in the future. Love…P.S. The meal with you last night made the entire trip worthwhile.” B.H.,J.H.,A.H.,K.H.&G.H., Medford, New Jewrsey, USA (December 29, 2001)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: Our stay with you was so peaceful and relaxing, we wish it could have lasted longer. Your quiet corner, the delicious special Indian dinner, and the other interesting guests all made this vacation different, one to remember. We hope to see you again some time in the not too far future. Our best regards and wishes for a Happy and Healthy Year.” A.Y.,K.Y.&N.Y., New York, New York, USA (December 28, 2001)
“Thank you for everything! Our honeymoon was perfect. We adore the Inn. I’m so glad you have such a great website or we never would have found you. We will miss you all and of course Blackie too! We hope to return someday soon. Wishing you a wonderful new year…” B.P.&D.P., Austin, Texas, USA (December 27, 2001)
“Dear Marleine and Alain: Your excellent website found our way to you. Turtle Nest Inn is even better and your hospitality and courtesies have been outstanding. Having been married 50 years ago on one enchanting island, it was fitting we celebrated our anniversary on another. Thank you so much for giving us a memorable stay at your lovely Inn. With our love…” B.A.&M.A., St. Helena Island, South Carolina, USA (December 27, 2001)
“Thank you so much for a wonderful Caymanian stay! We really had a wonderful time. Dexter’s sailing was fantastic — could do it everyday. All the best to you, be true to yourself.” J.I., St. Helena Island, South Carolina, USA (December 27, 2001)
“Dear Marleine: Thank you so much for everyhting. It was a great spot. The beach, pool and snorkeling were fantastic. The location was perfect; very quiet and ‘Caymanian’ and it wasn’t far from the interesting places on the island.” M.I., St. Helena Island, South Carolina, USA (December 27, 2001)
“Dear Marleine: I had a very nice time. It was a great dinner. Great hotel. The pool & the ocean are beautiful. I hope I see you again!” B.I., St. Helena Island, South Carolina, USA (December 27, 2001)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: What’s to say, but that we had such a wonderful time at your Inn! The apartment was all that we needed & more. The snorkeling was fantastic! So many colorful fish & coral…and right ‘in our own backyard’! We especially enjoyed visiting with you and your sister, Maryse. Thank you for such a great dining experience on Indian night. We enjoyed it (and the company of our ‘neighbors’) immensely. We hope to see you again…thanks for being an integral part of our memorable vacation! Fondly yours…” B.S.,P.S.&A.S., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA (December 26, 2001)
“Marleine, you have found your calling as hostess . . . available, caring and enthusiastic. You certainly helped us feel at home and comfortable. Alain, your website eliminated any unpleasant surprises which can potentially dash one’s vision of a place unknown. The inn, the neighborhood, and the feeling on the island in general was just as you portrayed . . . although I think you understated the warmth and hospitality of Caymanians. And, if ‘living on the Edge’ means eating there often, I’m all for it! As my son said, ‘This vacation managed to satisfy everyone in our family, which isn’t easy.’ (Our family being my husband and me, and our college sophomore and high school senior, all of whom have different ‘goals’ for time away from home.) Alhough we don’t tend to visit the same place twice, Turtle Nest Inn and the Cayman Islands might prove to be an exception. Thanks again for a lovely place and a lovely time.” T.H.,D.H.,C.H.&C.H., Davidson, North Carolina, USA (December 24, 2001)
“To our wonderful hosts: The Hunter family would like to say thank you! from the bottom of our hearts for the most amazing vacation. Your delightful inn combined with gracious hospitality provided for a wonderful setting, and the Cayman Islands are in themselves the most gorgeous tropical paradise we could imagine! Thank you so much for this magical vacation, and we wish you a very Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year. Love…” C.H., Davidson, North Carolina, USA (December 24, 2001)
“We couldn’t imagine a better spot for our honeymoon. We’re so glad to have found this place away from the ‘maddening crowd’. Marleine’s dining suggestions were perfect. The Turtle Nest provides a sense of solitude but also a sense of community. The Friday night dinner was fantastic and fellowship was like dining with old friends. The Inn was beautiful and the hospitality (Blackie too) was unforgettable. We hope to return soon. Thanks for everything.” D.P.&A.P., Flint, Michigan, USA (December 22, 2001)
“Had a wonderful time! Beautiful inn! We will come back some day!” B.D.,K.H.,&K.L., Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA (December 17, 2001)
“Just what we needed. Our trip was relaxing – and the accomodations were lovely. Quiet and friendly – we felt like we were the only guests. We prefer Bodden Town to the touristy 7-Mile Beach area, and were so glad to find a small intimate place to hide for a week. We’ll be back…” P.F.&C.F., Charlotte, North Carolina, USA (December 17, 2001)
“What a quiet, elegant spot you have. Blackie is the perfect host. If we return to Grand Cayman, we would definitely stay here. Your recommendations were dead on target. Wish we could remain beyond our scheduled two nights. Take good care.” A.D.&J.R., Garrison, New York, USA (December 17, 2001)
“We loved being here. It was very quiet and peaceful. You have a wonderful place here. Thank you.” C.R.&P.R., Milford, Connecticut, USA (December 16, 2001)
“Dear Marleine and Alain: We could not have hoped for a better stay. The inn was absolutely lovely. Such service which was so individual could not have been received anywhere else! We thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning.” M.P.&S.P., Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA (December 15, 2001)
“Thank you Marleine and Alain for a beautiful, quiet week away from a life that moves too fast – the perfect spot for us to slow down and enjoy reading, walking on the beach and eating good food.” A.D.,T.R.&V.T., Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA (December 15, 2001)
“We are saddened to be leaving what is undoubtedly the finest vacation we’ve ever taken! The Turtle Nest Inn made it all happen – a more perfect spot cannot be found on the island. Our thanks to both Marleine and Alain for sharing your home with us. It was wonderful!!.” N.H.&P.H., Jamestown, New York, USA (December 13, 2001)
“Zack and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the islands. It has been a perfect honeymoon! Thank you for recommending Captain Dexter’s Stingray City tour. It was the highlight of our trip! We have been so glad that we stayed away from the commercialization of 7-mile beach. The inn is beautiful and very comfortable. A word of advice for people coming to Turtle Nest Inn: rent a car! We loved the freedom we had driving all over the island in our rental car. You will need it to drive to the beautiful beaches, lovely places to eat, etc. Be sure to visit Rum Point – it’s serene and breathtaking! Thank you so much…we will return on our anniversary.” Z.L.&J.L., Hull, Georgia, USA (December 13, 2001)
“We have really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Nest Inn. We particularly appreciated the quiet away from 7-mile beach and the Tour Ship crowd. The friendly atmosphere here was great with both Alain and Marleine being very helpful. Snorkeling out front was the most enjoyable on the island. We were sorry the Indian meal did not happen as we so enjoyed the Caribbean Night. This was our first visit to Cayman Islands but finding it here a paradise I’m sure we will return many times. We had a few excellent trips to Rum Point and our favorite restaurant for both food and atmosphere under the palms on the deck was The Edge. Thanks for a wonderful new experience.” S.S.&C.S., Lakewood, New York, USA (December 13, 2001)
“I can think of no better accommodations than the TNI! Every detail exceeded our expectations. Great snorkeling!! Tapas Night was the best meal on the island. We will return!” A.K.&M.K., Northampton, Massachusetts, USA (December 12, 2001)
“Second Trip! Better than the first, already booked for next year. Thanks Alain & Marleine. Don’t forget the ‘guarantee’ for Indian dinner. If you get any doubters about Indian dinner show guests this — it is to die for. Thanks.” T.L.&M.L., Redmond, Oregon, USA (December 12, 2001)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: We can’t begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at Turtle Nest Inn. Everything was wonderful & we will definitely return to see you, Blackie & all the friendly dogs! What a fabulous vacation. Thank you so much for everything!” B.M.&M.M., Laurel, Maryland, USA (December 9, 2001)
“Dear Marleine and Alain: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you. Your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. We definitely will return to your lovely island and suite #4. Russ is very sad to be leaving this lovely setting and will probably cry all the way home. Hope to see you both again real soon. We’ll keep in touch via e-mail. Affectionately…” R.L.&L.L., Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA (December 8, 2001)
“Turtle Nest Inn is truly a special place on Grand Cayman…it was hard to leave today. We are already planning to return. It was just a great time. We spent most of our time here doing our favorite things – beach, snorkeling, pool and just relaxing. It was great. Our room #5 was always kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff. We had a little road noise but everything else was fine. We liked being away from the 7-mile beach crowds and being around Caymanians instead – it was fascinating to hear the men play/chatter at McCoy’s in the evening. We went to Stingray City three times with Capt. Dexter – recommended on TNI website. Small groups, great sailing back on the catamaran. Thank you, take care.” A.A.&B.L., Monticello, Minnesota, USA (December 6, 2001)
“This was just what we needed. Total relaxation. From the first greeting and throughout the stay, you both made us feel warm and welcome. We truly hate to leave your little OASIS here. The hospitality truly exceeded our expections. Thank You.” C.L.&D.L.., Cameron Park, California, USA (December 4, 2001)
“Thanks Alain & Marleine: We had a terrific time on the island and enjoyed magnificient sunrises here! Much obliged for creating a romantic mood on the final days of the ‘moon. Best wishes…” T.T.&W.T., Kirkland, Washington, USA (December 3, 2001)
“I can say we had a great time and look forward to returning. The meal was great and I thought the Cuban black bean soup was incredibly delicious. Again, our thanks and we look forward to seeing you again soon. It was the best vacation we have ever had. The accommodations and food were superb. If I had a “want” or suggestion it would be for an alarm/clock radio and a television in the bedroom. Other than that, the hospitality and value I do not think can be beat anywhere on the island. ” E.B.&R.B., Overgaard, Arizona, USA (December 3, 2001)
“Thanks for a fantastic week! The Inn is perfect – just the atmosphere we were looking for. The tapas night was great. We will be back one day!” J.H.&C.H., Issaquah, Washington, USA (December 1, 2001)

“We could not have found a more marvelous place to spend our honeymoon. We had a wonderful place in mind from stories & pictures off the Internet & when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that it was even more wonderful than expected. What a find! The rooms are charming – housekeeping was great. The ocean was magnificiently gorgeous – we loved our stay! Thank you for the time of our lives – we will be back eventually to enjoy this heaven on earth again. Thank you so much! God Bless.” D.G.&A.G., Vancouver, Washington, USA (November 28, 2001)
“To the Hosts of Turtle Nest Inn: How beautiful to have found this haven on Grand Cayman Island. Tranquil and soft, the Inn satisfied all our desires to escape from our busy life to a peaceful ‘paradise’.” G.W.&R.W., Dayton, Ohio, USA (November 28, 2001)
“Dearest Alain & Marleine: From my observation, you must enjoy the best ‘return’ rate on Grand Cayman. After eight years of spending Thanksgiving on the 7-Mile Strip, we have again thoroughly enjoyed our little Bodden Town Villa. Our first visit was right after you opened. We just love to refer our friends! Marleine, we missed your charm and gracious touch; but I can attest that Alain did a wonderful job of more than meeting our every need. Indian Night came off beautifully. All the best to you both for ’02. Fondly…P.S. You can believe that I intend to see you all at least once this coming year. Thanks for all of your caring innkeeping.” P.M., Annapolis, Maryland, USA (November 28, 2001)
“Sacré fils! Moments inoubliables aux îles Cayman mais surtout dans votre endroit de rêve, calme, reposant et très agréable…Des plongées sous-marines aux balades en mer, des raies aux tortues de mer, des palmiers aux fonds transparents, nous en garderons un souvenir incroyable…Seul petit regret ne pas avoir eu le privilège de rencontrer Marleine. Ce sera pour la prochaine fois…” C.P.&Y.P. (Français), Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie, EU (November 27, 2001)
(Translated from French, above): “Holy cow! Unforgettable moments in the Cayman Islands but especially at your dream spot…Scuba diving to boat outings, stingrays to sea turtles, palm trees to clear sea bottoms, these will always be unbelievable memories. Only one small regret — not having had the privilege of meeting Marleine. Next time…” C.P.&Y.P. (French citizens), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (November 27, 2001)
“As always! I hate to leave the best Inn in the Cayman Islands, but it always gives us something to look forward to…Coming Back! See you next year!” J.M.,P.M.&J.M., Crownsville, Maryland, USA (November 26, 2001)
“We had a great time staying with you on our honeymoon. We could not ask for a more peaceful, relaxing & out-of-the-way place. As we drove around the more developed portions of the island we realized how different our honeymoon could have been if we had not come across your inn. Instead of being able to stroll alone on the beach we could have had to share it with a throng of tourists. Instead of being immersed in the local culture, we could have been sharing fries at Wendy’s with dozens of other American sun worshippers. Instead of enjoying a quiet breakfast in our room, we could have been desperately trying to get out of a cramped hotel room. And instead of enjoying the charming hospitality of a host that was genuinely interested in helping his guests make the most of their stay, we could have just been one of hundreds of other ‘room numbers’. Thanks for the excellent service, gracious hospitality & Indian dinner, and for showing us such an amazing time! If there is any way we can make it back to the Caymans, we will definitely try to stay with you again!” R.S.&C.S., Atlanta, Georgia, USA (November 23, 2001)
“What a wonderful Inn you have! Sorry we missed Marleine, but Alain’s hospitality was wonderful. Indian Night was great food and company. Awesome snorkeling, right out the back door! You have created a masterpiece, here in paradise. Thank you for everything.” J.D.&K.D., Eugene, Oregon, USA (November 23, 2001)
“We had a blast at your piece of paradise here on Grand Cayman. Lovely place and most lovely sea. I will miss the fish. My kids had so much fun playing on the beach, in the water and with all the dogs. Thanks for a fun week. Au revoir!” J.S.,A.S.,B.S.&A.S., Reston, Virginia, USA (November 23, 2001)
“Alain: An incredible respite to refresh the body and the soul. Every aspect was well thought out & supplied – from the efficiency & hardly visible staff, the water equipment provided, to the intense delectable dinner. Paradise could clearly be synonymous with Turtle Nest Inn!! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving…” J.M.&T.D., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (November 22, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: What a wonderful business you have! We thank you very much for your hospitality and great times. This has been a great place to experience the local flavors of the island. Your ‘Blue Book’ (guest information booklet in each apartment-TNI) is well thought out and very helpful. Your strength, vision and entrepreneurial spirit have paid off and we are very glad we could stay and enjoy it with you. We will always remember the Turtle Nest and your great friendliness. Best regards…” J.D.&V.D., North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA (November 21, 2001)

“We’ll miss Grand Cayman back in Dallas, TX! The beaches are very beautiful here. The room was great. Next time we’ll have to reserve in time for an oceanfront apartment. Blackie was a perfect greeter too! The Inn is gorgeous and very quaint and the beach pool was great. The snorkeling is nice off the beach and we had fun in the kayak. It was away from all the 7-mile traffic but close enough to drive to. We’ll definitely stay here when we come back to Grand Cayman!” L.K.&C.K., Dallas, Texas, USA (November 8, 2001)
“We’ve had a wonderful time — a perfect “escape” for a few days! Despite the rain, we got to do all that we had planned (well, almost). Even the storm brought some spectacular surf that was a wonder to see. Your Inn is everything you promised – lovely rooms, beautiful beach, great snorkeling, gracious service, excellent tapas meal, privacy… I could go on and on. Thank you so much for following your vision to create such an enjoyable and beautiful place. We certainly hope to return some day.” C.A.&J.A., Kemp, Texas, USA (November 6, 2001)

To top our day off, we had a wonderful meal, excellently prepared and served and the company was excellent, as we shared a table with other guests. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and at home on our first night in Grand Cayman!” C.F.&D.F., Brooke, Virginia, USA (November 2, 2001)

“Alain & Marleine: Bravo to you both! What a very excellent home away from home! Your housekeeper was quite orderly and meticulous. Needless to say, it was nice having a break from doing it myself. Your dinners were so fab!! Never had Indian food before and ‘wow’ – my eyes have truly been opened to – or should I say my taste buds have truly been tickled! Both dinners delightful. Come highly recommended. The two of you are definitely in the right business. From your warm hospitality to your helpful guidance to good conversations. we enjoyed all that you & your inn (‘baby’) had to offer. Much continued success to you both. May your inn always be filled with smiling faces. God Bless…” S.B.&R.B., Clayton, North Carolina, USA (October 18, 2001)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: (my new friends!) Thank you for opening your lovely place to a strange man with a strange mission! (Running around with a radio and taking measurements all night!) You have made my time here most convenient and the way in which you have designed and maintained Turtle Nest is ‘splendide’ (in the vernacular). I have also appreciated the cleanliness of my room. You and your staff are to be congratulated. Of course also, having French brought me many wonderful memories of our year on the Côte d’Azur. Next time I must bring my wife. She would love it. God bless this house. ” B.M., Apex, North Carolina, USA (October 17, 2001)

Hope to see you soon!” N.M.&B.M., Charleston, South Carolina, USA (October 16, 2001)
“Thank you is such an understatement for all that Turtle Nest Inn did for Debbie and my mental state. Just ended a 10-day stretch of our daughter’s wedding with in-laws and out-of-town guests, we needed a time for just the two of us. The weather was great – you some how had the rain come while we were under cover at lunch: nice touch. We enjoyed being off the main drag. Hope to be back in January 2002.” D.B.&B.B., Asheville, North Carolina, USA (October 16, 2001)

I really had a wonderful time. The BBQ and Indian dinner were great and I have some new friends. I found the people of the island very friendly, the beaches and the snorkeling were super. When writing this letter, I am back in Sweden. Ohh, I am missing the 7 o clock swim early in the morning! Marleine and Alain, thanks for a wonderful stay! Hope to meet you again. Best Regards…” B.F., Lund, Sweden (October 4, 2001)

It was most enjoyable staying in this peaceful oceanfront setting rather than the big hotels on Seven Mile Beach. We particularly appreciated the comfort and convenience your well-equipped suite offers. We will certainly recommend the Inn! Brian says ‘the place will be perfect when you get a light for the barbecue!’ Also thanks for all the island building tips. Cheers.” B.T. & J.T., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (October 3, 2001)
“Once again we were treated to a wonderful stay at Turtle Nest. It was great to finally meet Alain & Marleine, who treated us as old friends. We look forward to returning in the future, next year and our next visit cannot come soon enough!” M.R.&L.R., Mansfield, Ohio, USA (September 26, 2001)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: Thank you for the note- I’m missing the island already and the Turtle Nest inn. I have to say how much I enjoyed meeting both of you- you’re gracious hosts and lovely people. My friends were all jealous that I got to spend the week at your lovely place. As I told you before, what I truly enjoyed was your attention to detail. It was as if you took all of the good things you had found in your travels and put them at your Inn, and added the touches that you thought were missing. I’m so glad we were able to participate in Indian night- it was delicious and we all had a great time. I hope to make it back to the island soon and will definitely stay at the Turtle Nest Inn (I’m still trying to find some friends to get married so we can book the entire place). Thank you so much for such a wonderful time. I look forward to seeing you in the future. (I just got off off the phone with a client and told him he needs to go and spend time at your place. I’m showing him the pictures tomorrow).” L.S., Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (September 21, 2001)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: We had such a wonderful time staying here, it was so peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed the dinners and late night swims. We couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Thanks for making our honeymoon so special. We hope to return very soon. Good luck to you both.” E.W.&C.W., Chicago, Illinois, USA (September 20, 2001)
“Fabulous! Wonderful! Superlatives fail me. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and many congratulations on succeeding to create charm and elegance away from corporate Cayman. The Indian meal was magic, the location everything we could have hoped for, the hospitality outstanding. We will be back. Very, very best wishes to you all.” A.W.&B.W., Munich, Germany (September 18, 2001)
“We came for a ‘special’ holiday to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it certainly was special. The apartment was excellent as well as your hospitality. The Indian meal was truly delicious. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. We will be back.” B.G.&V.G., Wirral, England, UK (September 18, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: Your website makes the Turtle Nest look very nice, but that is a definite understatement. This inn is super. Your hospitality is like never seen before. You made our honeymoon very enjoyable and memorable. Thank you both and we hope to be back soon!” B.S.&S.S., Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, USA (September 16, 2001)
“We returned again & of course will be back again as soon as possible! Parents hope to come back again this year. Best vacation place in the Caribbean. This is the only island & Inn we have returned to! Being ‘stuck’ an extra day during the ‘attack on America’ was an extra day in paradise. Can’t imagine a better place to be ‘stranded’! You were great in our time of need. Wish we could stay & help catch the rooster for you – will be watching the mail for him! Staying in #8 again – it is really starting to feel like ‘our’ apartment. Loved taking the kayak to the Edge for afternoon mudslides. Wouldn’t mind being ‘stranded’ a few more days but we must get back to all our animals. Oh yes, made a very small donation to the Humane Society. Wish we could do more. Will be flying our new Cayman flag over our pool tomorrow when we get home. Look for our Christmas animals card in December & we will be back!” A.R.&L.R., Charlotte, North Carolina, USA (September 16, 2001)
“One of the staff in George Town called 7 mile beach the ‘corporate chaos’. TNI was a welcome place of solitude to relax & enjoy this beautiful scenery. I could not get over the fabulous views from our condo. From the first moment of wakefulness to the last breath of fresh air, the gorgeous views simply could not be beat. Why anyone would choose ‘corporate chaos’ over these views & such hospitable peace is beyond me! This place will always hold a fond place in our heart & we will be back!” D.D., Richmond, Virginia, USA (September 10, 2001)
“This was a week of many fabulous memories and moments. We chose to come to Cayman because of Turtle Nest Inn to celebrate our honeymoon. It was all we dreamed of and more for this incredibly special time. Thank you for creating a space away from the ‘corporate chaos’ for us to relax, unwind, and savor our week. The staff as well as Marleine and Alain went beyond all expectations in keeping us feeling welcome and embraced here on this special island. We are already planning our next return. Thank you so much.” T.D., Richmond, Virginia, USA (September 10, 2001)
“This was the best place we have ever stayed in all of our travels to the Caribbean. It gave the two of us the chance to renew our love & relationship with one another. The views were wonderful. The people the most friendly, the food fantastic and the snorkeling was perfect. But you got to do something about that rooster next door. He wakes up way too early. To the both of you thanks so much for a wonderful stay!” J.I.&L.I., Angier, North Carolina, USA (September 2, 2001)
“What a wonderful treasure is the Turtle Nest Inn – you, the blue sea, the food, the apartment, the charm! We’re sorry our stay was so short – we will come again!! (We loved the kitties & Blackie too!)” J.D.&N.H., Cincinnati, Ohio, USA (September 2, 2001)
“TNI is a great place – quiet and not overrun with people. I definitely want to come back! Next time maybe I can meet the cats.” L.G., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA (September 1, 2001)
“What a wonderful spot for a vacation!! Turtle Nest Inn is great – quiet, beautiful, restful. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Thank you both so much for providing us with a perfect trip.” E.S., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA (September 1, 2001)
“Turtle Nest Inn can be summed up as follows: B – beautiful setting and the ‘Blue Book’ (Invaluable!); L – lovely view, lonesome palm; I – impeccable accommodations; S – sand; S – surf and sun = BLISS!” F.R., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA (September 1, 2001)
“Dear Alain & Marleine: Thank you so much for a wonderful, relaxing 3 days! You are terrific hosts! Our apartment was even more than we had hoped & we’ll definitely be back. Friday’s cook-your-own barbecue was a real treat – sharing the time with you & some of your friends was an experience we wouldn’t have missed for anything. As I sit here writing this, listening to the surf & drinking in the view for nearly the last time, it makes me sad to leave. But it’s wonderful to know we have some fine memories to take home with us & a wonderful place & fine people to come back to. Even Blackie & the cats made us feel right at home. Please give them special pats from us. And hearty thanks from both of us to both of you. All the best!” K.N.&R.N., Coatsville, Pennsylvania, USA (August 27, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: What a sad day! I cannot believe we are actually leaving today. I remember back in February searching the internet for a nice, affordable place my boyfriend and I could visit and how excited we were to find your place. We definitely had high hopes and you surpassed every single one of them. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect place. The sea, village, condo, food, kindness of the neighbors and generosity of you both made this an excellent trip. Thanks for the memories and call us when you visit Atlanta for a shopping spree!” H.G.&C.W., Atlanta, Georgia, USA (August 25, 2001)
“Your website leaves one with high hopes and even higher expectations. In this case, reality surpasses the virtual image. We truly felt like the only visitors this week. Though we didn’t bump into anyone, the inn has a welcoming, lived in ambience. Our apartment was so comfortable that we left it reluctantly at times. The amenities were impeccable, down to every detail. Though the threatened ‘hurricane’ avoided us, the water was apparently stirred up. Nonetheless, we were able to find several secluded spots to enjoy the beach. Alain and Marleine, we thank you for your hospitality and wish we were spending more time with you. We will recommend Turtle Nest Inn to all our friends. It offers the perfect blend of resort and B&B, including style, charm, grace, comfort, quiet and class.” L.V.&L.L., Little Neck, New York, USA (August 24, 2001)
“Quelle surprise! Your place is picture perfect. Enjoyed every minute & will have many happy memories. Thank you for your gentleness & kindness. We hope to see you again.” J.B.&D.M., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA (August 23, 2001)
“A great place to stay – everything was just great. The views, the apartment and the service. I shall be back. So will some of my friends.” G.N., Oxford, England, UK (August 21, 2001)
“Better than many who charge twice the price!.” D.S.&H.S., New York, New York, USA (August 21, 2001)

“We could not have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon! It was all perfect – from the staff to the view – it was all wonderful! Thank you for helping to make this special time in our life so unforgettable. We will be back! Thank you again for everything! P.S. We’ll be sure to tell all of our friends and family about this place.” J.F.&L.F., Wilmington, North Carolina, USA (August 17, 2001)

“Dear Marleine: Thank you so much for our stay at your wonderful Inn! We are sorry for our abrupt departure. Unfortunately, we must have been experiencing separation anxiety from the island and were not in very good moods. When you spend a week in such a wonderful place it is extremely hard togo back to reality. We could not have asked for a better place to stay or a better host. We loved the Turtle Nest Inn and will recommend it over and over to our friends. You are so lucky to live in paradise and hopefully we will also find a way to do that. Thank you again.” B.W.&S.S, Grand Junction, Colorado, USA (August 14, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: This has been the best vacation ever! Thank you both for all of your hospitality and making Shannon & I feel so welcome. The Inn has been the ideal accommodation and the best place to relax and call ‘home’ for our stay. I will definitely miss Grand Cayman, but I plan to return as soon as possible. Thanks for everything.” S.G., Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA (August 12, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: From the moment I saw your web page, I knew this was going to be a fantastic vacation. Thank you for all your hospitality and for arranging the perfect moonrise. Our apartment was perfect! We always felt safe and welcome. Even the church across the street invited us back. I hope to return soon. Grand Cayman is a little slice of heaven, a place I am sure to miss. I expect a rematch of scrabble when I visit again. Thanks again for sharing Grand Cayman and your home with us.” S.H., Des Moines, Iowa, USA (August 12, 2001)

Thank you for helping our honeymoon be so special.” C.S.&A.S., El Cajon, California, USA (August 6, 2001)
“Dear Alain and Marleine: We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to the Turtle Nest Inn. You have a beautiful place and George was just great. He saw to it that we were never in need of anything. We have traveled a lot and this was one of the best, if not the best, places we have ever stayed. We were sorry to have missed you and perhaps next year we can arrange a different time to come down. We had two more trips after leaving Grand Cayman and now we are ready to settle back down to the routine of working and school. We hope you had a great trip to Greece and we look forward to visiting the Turtle Nest Inn again. Thank you, best regards…” J.W.&J.W., Ashville, North Carolina, USA (August 6, 2001)

En espérant vous revoir aux Cayman ou bien au nouveau Turtle Nest Inn que l’on va ouvrir prochainement sur la barrière de corail australienne.” M.L.&S.L., New York, New York, EU (le 2 août, 2001)
(Translated from French, above) “Thanks for the warm welcome and for your kindness. This was exactly what we were looking for: peacefulness, beach, diving and romantic relaxation. Hoping to see you again in the Caymans, or at the new Turtle Nest Inn that we’ll soon be opening on the Australian barrier reef.” M.L.&S.L., New York, New York, USA (August 2, 2001)
“Our trip here was so wonderful. I don’t think we ever stayed in an Inn that was more perfect. The setting provides a calmness of spirits in its isolation, personal accommodation and closeness to the sea. George was the perfect host. He had a way of connecting people and guiding each to their own island fantasies. What a wonderful resource. The other resources like Dexter and Ocean Frontiers were greatly appreciated. Your communication by e-mail and your well developed web site made planning stress-free. Blackie and Vitamine were such a treat, they added to the homey atmosphere. We all loved it.” C.H.&L.N., Clovis, California, USA (August 1, 2001)

TNI is a true island treasure…continued success” G.B.&A.B., East Windsor, New Jersey, USA (July 24, 2001)
“Dear George: We’re sure you know how sad we are to be leaving! You have made our holiday a real pleasure & we will miss both you & the Inn very much. Blackie & his poorly leg & the trip to that fabulous vet all added to the ‘real’ feeling of the Inn! On your good advice we visited practically every restaurant on the island worth visiting & thanks to you I am now 20 pounds heavier! The privacy & calmness of the Inn was just what we were looking for & the people (staff & fellow guests) were wonderful. We will miss our afternoon chats & entertainment from Alexandra & Henry!! We will be back (via Washington, DC, of course!). Thanks for everything, we had an absolutely fantastic holiday! All my love…” S.B.&S.B., Gravesend, Kent, England, UK (July 24, 2001)

“Ours was a completely delightful stay, utterly perfect. (Which, of course, is why Elizabeth booked 2 weeks’-worth in #4 for next summer after we’d been in your hallway all of 2 minutes.) We hope you’ve had a glorious time in Greece. And, while we missed you, George did a great job of carrying on the Turtle Nest Inn tradition, with verve and style: always there to help, when it was needed, but never intrusive. We’re relaxed, keeping the Turtle Nest Inn experience in the front of our minds until time and fate get us back to the place we love so much.” R.M.,E.M.&P.M., Emporia, Kansas, USA (July 12, 2001)

It was nice to see ‘family’ here!! You make a great innkeeper. Sorry I missed the dinner on the terrace.” D.D.&C.R., Phoenix, Arizona, USA (July 9, 2001)
“Dear George, Alain & Marleine: Turtle Nest Inn is a remarkable place. All our expectations have been fulfilled in our stay here. The place is unique, but a place is made by the people running it. And from all of us to you, a big ‘thank you’. I am sure that our kids will have this place in memory as a remarkable time, getting to know Grand Cayman. Thank you again, and as we say in Danish, ‘may the wind be with you all’.” B.L.,J.L.,M.L.&O.L., Hundested, Denmark (July 8, 2001)
“Dear Alain, Marleine and George: On the eve of our departure I find myself in awe reflecting on the past week that my husband and I have spent at the inn. We both found ourselves crossing the threshold of our apartment door (upon our arrival) saying ‘Wow!’ Not only because of the wonderful hospitality that has been extended to us, do we find ourselves sad to leave and eager to return. We have done many activities and shared many new adventures while visiting the island, from dining at new exquisite restaurants to snorkelling at Stingray City and scuba diving with Ocean Frontiers, but we always looked forward to ‘coming home’ to the Turtle Nest Inn. This is more than just a place to rest our heads, this is the perfect home away from home, complete with a pool and a view of the ocean with its calming waves and gentle breezes that would rejuvenate any soul. As you know this is our honeymoon and it was great to be in the Cayman Islands away from the resort crowds and commotion. We had privacy as well as daily freshly turned over towels and bedding which would make anyone feel like royalty. But above all else you have made us feel not only the desire to return to Cayman, but the desire to return to your Inn. I will definitely recommend your establishment as ‘The’ place to stay when visiting Grand Cayman. A special note to George – it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance. You were a wonderful guide to the Island. We owe our adventurous honeymoon to you and we are forever grateful. We look forward to seeing you again. Sincerely…” N.A.&S.A., San Diego, California, USA (July 7, 2001)

Thanks so much for everything.” P.V.&A.V., Little Torch Key, Florida, USA (July 2, 2001)

I hope we can come back next year and have a good time like we did this year. Love for always friends…” K.Z. (age 9), Roanoke, Texas, USA (June 26, 2001) .
“We wish we did not have to leave! Your Inn is just perfect – from its location, your hospitality, the palm tree and beach, the amenities. Your guests were friendly, like the people here on the island. Our apartment, #4, was super. We loved our patio and the view, the pool and the sounds of the sea. Even our towels, plateware and glassware, fabrics were darling and perfectly coordinated with the attractive tiles and feel of the apartment. Thank you for everything, your availability for requests and questions, your lovely personalities and charm. We hope to be returning when we can. Waking up to the sound of the ocean surf, watching the sunrise from our balcony, laying under the palm tree shade with the everpresent ocean breeze, making new friends, hanging out with Blackie and Vitamine, snorkeling, the delicious Friday night Tapas dinner. All these memories we will keep with us until we visit again.” J.C.&L.C., Richmond, Virginia, USA (June 24, 2001)
“Marleine and Alain: Your website did not lie. This place was fabulous and everyone in our group of 7 (Apts 2 and 8) loved the privacy of the Turtle Nest Inn. Seven Mile Beach was a distant second to yours. The Caribbean Tapas dinner on Friday was amazing! Grandma had a hangover on Saturday and we later regretted allowing Todd to eat 3 bowls of the black bean soup. I was told to apologize for scooping out the grapes from the bottom of the Sangria pitchers. Todd and I formed our Stingray Club at ‘the Edge’ and Mary and I enjoyed a final night stroll to the Oasis. I was very proud of my sister Wendy for eventually learning how to turn on the hot water by our 6th night here. My kids loved the pets, Rum Point, Turtle Farm, Smith’s Cove, George Town, Blowholes, Stingray City, all were great, but our best times were spent here – you both were great hosts to my family. God bless you…” D.W., M.W.,S.W.,W.W.&T.W., Louisville, Kentucky, USA (June 24, 2001)
“Thank you so much!!! I had such a great time!!! I loved the movies to borrow!! I stayed up all night and watched them. And I also loved Blackie & Vitamine!! I enjoyed the snorkeling around the hotel. It was fabulous! My dad tried to make me go out kayaking with him all the time & I couldn’t take it!! I also loved the tapas dinner we had yesterday. A real taste of the islands!! And I liked how the hotel was peaceful and quiet. And the pool!! A big thumbs up there. It felt like swimming in bath water. The stay was really enjoyable. I loved it!! Yours truly…” A.W. (age 12), Louisville, Kentucky, USA (June 24, 2001)

Your patio dinner was a delight & I enjoyed visiting with a few of the other guests. The best part was petting Blackie & Vitamine. It was great to be away from SMB – we saw so much of the island by being away from the crowds. We’ll be back – save us a room! P.S. The dinners were tremendous too!” L.B.,D.B.,B.B.&B.B., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (March 31, 2001)

“Marleine & Alain: All of us have thoroughly enjoyed your Inn. The rooms and facilities are first-class and your hospitality is the greatest. We particularly enjoyed the meals – the Indian cuisine was both unexpected and spectacular – and the Tapas every bit as good. The opportunity to experience Grand Cayman from such wonderful accommodations in Bodden Town, provided our family with a truly memorable vacation. We’ve all concluded that a return trip is a must. Best wishes from all of us for continued success and a well-deserved vacation in Greece. P.S. I’ll wager there are few other places on the Island where I could enjoy after-dinner debate & stories with such an accomplished raconteur.” P.Y.,G.Y.,A.Y.,A.Y.&G.Y., Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, USA (March 17, 2001)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: What more can we say about the wonderful Turtle Nest Inn, which hasn’t been said already by your previous guests? From the moment we arrived you have been the perfect hosts. The accommodation at the TNI exceeded all our expectations. We congratulate you & your staff on a well-run, spotlessly clean establishment, with attention paid to every detail. We take back to England a lasting impression of a wonderful holiday spent away from the madding crowds of George Town & Seven Mile Beach. Bodden Town is the perfect location & the Turtle Nest Inn is a dream hideaway. Thank you all – we hope to come back.” M.C.,C.C.&K.C., Burton-Upon-Trent (Staffordshire), England, UK (March 17, 2001)
“Alain & Marleine: We want you to know that this has been an incredible vacation, not just because the Cayman Islands are so exquisite, but your gentle hopitality and kindness (spilt milk & sugar) made us feel comfortable and at home in paradise. You have brought I believe your own dreams to fruition, and we wish you the best of everything – health, wealth & happiness, and of course a nightly rendition of ‘La Mer’. The good Lord willing, we will see you again.” C.S.&S.H., Hillsboro, Oregon, USA (March 17, 2001)
“Dear Marleine & Alain: This was our first trip to Grand Cayman, and what a paradise it is. You both made our vacation very special by providing an absolutely beautiful hideaway far enough from the hustle and bustle of SMB & George Town. The apt. was perfect – clean, open & airy – just what we love. It was nice to get to know the other guests during the Indian dinner Tuesday night, and yes Alain, we both enjoyed it very much. We will never forget you or our beautiful stay here – we will definitely return to TNI (hopefully soon). Thank you for your kindness!” P.S.&J.S., Newville, Pennsylvania, USA (March 16, 2001)

“Really enjoyed our time here. Best offshore snorkeling on the island. Food at The Edge is literally awesome – try it, you’ll like it. Owners & managers are the most friendly. People on the island are so friendly. Try the Bodden Town Church of God just a 10 minute walk to the west. P.S. We were in #6. Best apt in the place.” E.B.&B.B., Portland, Oregon, USA (March 15, 2001)
“Once again, we had a wonderful stay at the Turtle Nest for our second visit. The sea breezes and sun kept us comfortably warm, and the quiet and peace allowed us to really have a relaxing stay without a sense of pressure. Coming a second time was worthwhile, as we could do things at our leisure and rest when we wanted. Tianli had a great time playing with Emma and Sarah, and she obviously really enjoyed the pool! As always, your meals and hospitality were excellent, and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests as well. Tianli sends her best regards to Sarah, Willie, Blackie, Tramp and Vitamine (the cat). Finally, thanks for making apartment 4 available once again, and we will be sure to return to the Turtle Nest upon our next visit to Grand Cayman!” D.K.,D.K.&T.K., Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, USA (March 10, 2001)

“Marleine & Alain: The Turtle Nest Inn is definitely “home away from home’! Each day has been so nice here, so comfortable and so relaxing! Doreen was very kind, she too made us feel comfortable…very trustworthy – unlike the ‘housekeeping you get at other places’. Everyone here feels like family. Even Andrew from Maintenance was very nice, he helped us learn a little about the island and its people. Very exciting! We have really enjoyed our stay with you, we only wish it was longer. Thank you for the wonderful dinners you prepared, they were outstanding! We are so happy we were fortunate enough to have found this place on the Internet. You both are very nice people – we’re going to miss everything and everyone. Next time we won’t be so busy, so we will be able to enjoy your company a little more! Thank you for making our 11-year anniversary so special. We’ll see you soon. Warmest wishes always…” C.B.&M.B., Spokane, Washington, USA (March 4, 2001)

We won’t forget the crab.” P.D.&J.D., Montpelier Vermont, USA (March 3, 2001)

“You have created a piece of paradise here. We have so enjoyed every night with the patio doors open, feeling the ocean breeze, listening to the crashing surf, and seeing all of the stars. It was certainly a different experience from staying in a large motel. It was so interesting visiting with you and hearing your story of the creation of the Turtle Nest Inn. Your special touches were appreciated, printed, soft sheets that actually stay on the bed (the stiff, white, flat sheets of most motels are the norm), the cooler and beach towels are a great idea! Your web site was so helpful and informative. We could plan what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go ahead of time. And your recommendations were great (especially Dexter’s Fantasea Tour & Nick Buckley’s Red Baron Dive). Your Indian dinner was superb (and was the dinner we enjoyed the most on the island). We wish you the best in the future and know that many, many guests will fall in love with the island because of your ‘home’. Thanks for your hospitality.” C.M.&P.M., West Allis, Wisconsin, USA (February 22, 2001)

“We all had an amazing time staying at the Pink House! We will be in touch within the next two weeks to book a week for next year. The company was also excellent!” B.K.,B.P.&L.A., Farmington, New Hampshire, USA (February 18, 2001)

Loved the Indian dinner! We will let others know about your wonderful Inn and hospitality.” D.G.,P.G.&S.G., Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA (February 15, 2001)

The Inn, the island, the ocean & the climate are perfect, but so are the wonderful people – Alain, Marleine, Frank, Linda, Gillie & Charles, as well as the many guests we now call our friends. Take care of Vitamine (the cat)!” J.H.&M.H., Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada (February 12, 2001)

We will be back and plan to recommend the Inn to others.” M.W.&D.I., Woodbury, Minnesota, USA (February 3, 2001)

In addition to snorkeling, golf, shopping, sunning, reading & great meals, our greatest pleasure is spending time with you and the wonderful people you attract to Turtle Nest Inn. “Dear Alain and Marleine: I will never forget the marvelous week we spent on Grand Cayman, nor will I ever regret choosing to stay at the Turtle Nest Inn, far from the ‘madding crowd’. We were close enough to all the attractions to reach them conveniently, yet we didn’t have to cope will the throngs of cruise ship passengers in George Town and along Seven Mile Beach. The beach at Turtle Nest Inn was just right, and the water was perfect. You two are great hosts, fine chefs, and now, good friends. You asked for guidance, based on our experience there, on attractions other visitors might consider. I would place Cap’n Dexter’s catamaran ride out to the Stingrays and the coral reef at the very top. Second would come Pedro-St. James. Third would come the Queen Eliz. Botanic Park. Next, and it was tough sledding, not for everyone, would be the long hike back into the old-growth forest with Geddes Hyslop. Wild birds galore, parrots feeding in the tree tops, non-venomous snakes, and very curious geological formations. Oh, yes, I mustn’t forget the para-sailing over at Rum Point…what a thrill for this ol geezer! Perhaps, the good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we will meet again someday at the Turtle Nest Inn. Au revoir, mes amis.” J.W., Donalds, South Carolina, USA (January 16, 2001)
“Dear Marleine and Alain: The Turtle Nest Inn is everything promised! With all the conveniences of home, we felt like we could stay weeks, months…in the breezy, beautiful apartments. Thank you for a wonderful vacation getaway!” C.M.&C.M., Richmond, Virginia, USA (January 15, 2001)

However, I plan to return very soon. I would love to bring some friends! Thank you again for everything.” A.M., Arkadelphia, Arkansas, USA (January 9, 2001)
“Turtle Nest Inn far exceeded our expectations. After staying on 7 mile beach for 5 days, it was nice to explore another area of the island. The snorkeling right outside the Inn is excellent, we went out every day of our stay! The dinners were great and a nice way to get to know the guests and hosts better. “Dear Alain & Marleine: Celebrating our 2nd honeymoon after 18 years of marriage, here at the TNI has been many times better than we ever dreamed of. We had privacy, seclusion, but you were always there when we needed you. The most memorable times were the Indian dinner the night we arrived. That was a blast and allowed us to meet a warm, friendly couple that we hope to keep in contact with. Then the bonfire on New Year’s Eve. That was a blast. After drinking all the champagne, we came upstairs & couldn’t stop laughing. Each morning we walked 1½ miles up the beach and back, coming back home to the TNI for coffee. Last night we walked up the beach to The Edge for dinner – one of the best meals of our trip! As we walked back, the Inn was all lit up & beautiful – we felt so lucky to be staying here. We spent one day on 7 mile beach. Who would ever want to stay down there when the TNI is right here? We loved our stay, meeting you & the dogs, and we will definitely be back! God bless!…Of all of the vacation spots we have been to, this was by far the most pleasant and comfortable.” P.M.&J.M., River Falls, Wisconsin, USA (January 5, 2001)
