Conditions
- All rental cars are picked up and dropped off right at the airport; mileage is unlimited
- Rates are based on a 24-hour day; hourly late charges apply if car is returned later than when picked up initially
- Rates do not include any insurance you choose to opt for, nor the government’s “Environment/License Recovery Fee” of US$10.75, per day
- Upon presentation of your driving permit from home, a local permit is automatically issued to you when picking up the car (valid for six months)
- Rental car insurance coverage is optional, and you may be at least partially covered by your home/auto insurer or your credit card provider
- Insurance, “Environment/License Recovery Fee”, and additional driver fee, are paid directly to the rental car agency
- To ensure validity of any provided coverage, be sure to use that credit card to pay for your stay at the Inn (at least the final balance), to pay for the non-included incidental fees (above) upon picking up the car at the car rental agency, and to check in at the Inn
- Although unlikely, the specific car may vary from the make and model given above as the class example
- Child car seats are available at US$9.25, per day, upon picking up the car, paid directly to the rental agency (no need to reserve in advance)
- Same rental car can be booked for your entire visit to Grand Cayman, even if staying at the Inn for only part of the visit
- If on-island ahead of your stay at the Inn, the rental car can be picked up at a couple of the large hotels along Seven Mile Beach, instead of at the airport
- Minimum age to rent a car is 21, but full insurance coverage is mandatory if under 25 years of age
